We're expecting an ice storm today but have been told we need to be in the office. Anyone who doesn't want to risk driving is being forced to take the day off. Except, our company already works from home two days a week. We are all set up and able to work from home. So she works at home doing AI. Her and her whole team have been training newbies for a week now just so they can take their job and get paid $8hr whereas she was getting paid $16hr. She just told me about it, they all woke up at 7am for a zoom meeting to be fired. No notice or anything. It’s so messed up.
