Why are there so many idiots on here who promote having drugs/ stopping drug tests in a workplace? This is something the vast majority of the public will see as immaturity. Improving work conditions and wage are legitimate and common ground everyone agrees with why get on the wrong side of the fast majority of people who are responsible workers?

There are so many shills in here
I see so many comments of ppl talking about how bad the system is and then in the same breath talk about how you should just try to find your way in life with no plans of getting rid of the system or changing it. This is an anarchist subreddit goddammit
I'll put a TL;DR at the end of this. Just need some insight because it's stressing me out. Back story: I got referred to a corporate job by a relative, saying it's work within the field I studied in. Gave me their friend's email and asked me to send a resume over. I'm not actively job searching at the moment but said okay, why not. —– Company's a 2hr travel each way to and from where I live, so I was already iffy about that. Either a looong commute or I'd have to relocate which isn't ideal. My current job is literally around the corner. But under pressure from my relative constantly going “Just try it!” I've been trying to see if it's worth it I email my resume and the conversation with the friend moves to text/call. He tells me more about the company but also tells me half-jokingly…

They added on an entire account management position on top of my purchasing manager duties a year in with ZERO extra pay, benefits, or acknowledgement. My performance for the past year and a half meant zilch when the CEO who drives a different sports car to work each day of the week was looking for someone to blame lower sales on after half his original team quit and he refused to provide me any real account management training besides a 1 hour Fred Pryor conference. I used to pride myself on my loyalty and now I am so bitter to know how foolish that is. I memorized hundreds of item numbers to ease the account advocate duties. I adapted to double my workload within a month on a system that hasn’t been updated since 1997 (cheapskate…

Rejected review
I attempted to leave a review on Indeed, but was told it was rejected. Has anyone else run into this problem? I thought about glassdoor but the bad reviews seem to be hidden and most of the time you need an account. My next step is google review but then I’d have to make a fake account.. anyways just wanted to vent fuck these corporations that want you to be a robot!
My favorite thing is filling out an online application (which is just “copy paste my entire resume again despite them asking me to upload my resume”) and then hitting submit just to watch it go ErROr. FaiLeD tO sUmBit. PlEasE tRy AgAiN lAtEr. And then everyone and their mother requires you to apply online. Nothing quite fills me with such a violent urge.
