Hello, I use reddit but not a lot, this is my first post. I'm in my early 30s. My first few jobs I made $7.50 to $10 an hr. I eventually got a good factory job and I made it up to $17.50 at 20 years old. Then I joined the Army. I've had other jobs in between like driving trucks, got jobs, ect. I own a business now in the realstate sector and I make around 76k to 103k per year and I really enjoy what I do and I'm making more as I expand. I'm curious? Why do so many people just complain about work instead of working towards what they actually want to do? Many people lack intelligence, wit, strength, confidence and or are just down right lazy. I agree many jobs are terrible, but I never stayed at a job I hated for long. Good leadership…
Fuck the bourgeoisie
I think this applies here.
So as the title suggests, people at my full time job are ragging on me hard for wanting to start my own thing. I’m trying to get away from my full time job. Huge corporation, with greedy executives who don’t give a shit about the employees and expect us to put in overtime out the ass for a pat on the back. I’ve been doing drone videos and clips and photography and have been promoting my services on social media. People from work see it and basically just give me shit about it all day. This might not be the place for this kind of content but I’m just wanting to get out and make them all stfu when they see me blow up. How should I handle it? I mean it doesn’t bother me to much, but it does get annoying. I can’t wait for the day I can…
‘How to quit your job gracefully.’
https://www.linkedin.com/news/story/how-to-quit-your-job-gracefully-5724866/ The comments are so full of kool-aid drinkers my stomach turned. They warn you word spreads fast, don't burn bridges! Time for employers to worry about their reputations.
Thoughts & Prayers
My Friends, I hesitant to write this post, as I am afraid I’ll reveal my current employer. My current situation is bizarre, toxic, and somewhat unbelievable. In order to protect myself, ‘ABC’ will serve as the company name. A few weeks ago, I filed a formal complaint with ABC’s Ethics department. ABC is synonymous with the industry and operates nationwide. ABC employs people of all walks of life, many of which are highly skilled and educated. Overall, ABC is great! Healthcare! 401k! Stability! Structure! etc, etc. All The Things (!) we were taught to value no matter how toxic the environment, how small the paycheck, or how little the appreciation. Many individuals happily retire with ABC and that is wonderful for them! I recently celebrated…just kidding, I, like my supervisors, barely acknowledged my 6 year milestone. Many of ABCs employees possess graduate degrees, doctorates, J.D., masters certifications, etc… you get…
Just read a post, started to look at the comments, and wouldn't you know it normal people and a mod calling the person a faker, thin skinned and cowardly. If you're gonna make a community based on people struggling through unemployment and getting screwed over by the system don't fucking laugh them off.
