Turning in my Two Week Notice today
I have been working at a LaQuinta hotel as maintenance manager for a year and a half now, and I am turning in my two-week notice today. Many things have driven me to this point. Poor management from up above, extreme lack of communication, understaffing in my department, finger pointing from management, them undermining me with my employees with every chance they get, how they treat the other employees here, and many other things so forth. This is actually the second LaQuinta that I’ve worked at and at both the crap that was going on ended up having me leave after a year because it was getting too toxic and bad. It’s too much to go into detail but if people want specifics, I’ll be more than willing to share them in the comments!
Currently working as Customer Service at a small company on hourly wage and don't get paid lunch time, not even 15min. I usually bring my own lunch but things happen / or get a little hungry and wants to go to get something from the dollar menu at taco bell or McDs 5min away but can't because I have to clock out. To be even clear everyone in this office doesn't do that much work, me and my friend probably spend more time doing shit, while the marketing guy behind me doesn't do shit, most I've seen him do is change colors in photoshop, even a 5yr can do thst , bro is on a salaried wage getting paid lunch leaves for almost an hour to go eat like wtf. If I want to sit down in the kitchen and eat I have to clock out. I am forced to…
Going on vacation after a year of work
I'm going on vacation starting today at end of day, I've been working the same schedule for about a year and that's 5am to 130pm 40 hrs a week. When I get back the next guy in line is the second shift mechanic and he starts at 230 to 830, they want me to work a double and or start at 10am and leave at 830pm. Let me remind you that we are under staffed in or dept and it's being done on purpose because it's the most expensive when ot comes to budgeting and or general manger and mangers bonuses, at this point I'm by myself doing the job of 2 others.. I'm not changing my schedule for lack of Incompetence and lack of being prepared on that on management part.. what would be a good way to go about saying no
Pay Reduction
Boss cut my pay by $17k due to a forced demotion. My former employees make more than I do without managerial or the experience I bring to the table yet I've been expected to impart my knowledge to newer employees with no compensation.
I work with less than 7 people, one of whom is our employer. Our clients are taken care of individually, by appointment. Yesterday a client didn’t show up for a coworker who then of course went to text&call and check if they were on their way. Employer removed the phone numbers from the client profiles, as well as email addresses! Why? The app company is a start up,and they take employers feedback and tailor our app to their requests. I overheard the conversation between employer (B) and coworker (D), before I knew anything was altered. D- i went to call text client in the Chat function and it came back “unsent”. So I went to call and the numbers not there, are the numbers showing up for you? B- ya they are, it must be a glitch. I’ll message the app about it, you know how it is when they…
Can they or will they. I'm new to unions rules and laws.
You know what will bring streamers back to the table? A huge drop in subs. Plus the content will remain there when the strikes end and we re-subscribe. I honestly think if they had even 1-2 weeks of a viral boycott in the news, it may lead to concessions from the big companies. CEOs like David Zazlov are incredibly out of touch and over paid, we can hit them where it hurts. So, how can we make this happen? After all, the sooner the writers and actors get their deal, the sooner Andor Season 2 goes back into production.
