I just started a new job at a call center two weeks ago, making a whopping $16 an hour and I’m already incredibly sick and tired of it. Not only are the pay and benefits garbage, but the people I work with are so incompetent and useless. It’s a completely soulless job, which I expected, but it just makes me hate capitalism even more because even while doing this type of work I’m still making barely enough to skate by. I only get 4.5 PTO days a year which is practically nothing and it’s frustrating because this company likes to market themselves as having a flexible schedule but if I want that flexibility I won’t be paid for it and can’t use PTO to cover it since there’s barely any to begin with. It’s quite ironic because my job requires me to assist people with their health insurance benefits yet…

Couple of years ago I had a good job with good pay, one day out of no where I was let go for no reason.. no lie.. that really affected me mentally since I was there for a a lil over 2 years and I was really working hard, I guess that was dumb of me to do?.. so yeah after that I had other jobs but things just dont work out and Im just so stressed about it, and just to fck everything up my car was stolen last night (i got insurance) so im good on that but now I gotta get a new car! like wtf Im jobless with no car, and Im really thinking about the Army since i ain’t got shit no more im just so sad and done with everything.
Does this sound like a plan?
worked to death
45 year old guy. they made him unload truck. he was encouraged to work 12, 13, 14 hour shifts. he had heart problems. he got hospitalized twice just in the last 2 months for severe chest pain and irregular heartbeat. he died last night, a few hours before his shift. he had just gotten out of the hospital a week ago, and right back into the 12 hour day grind to pay his child support. you were a goofy ass guy, and god damn i’m gonna miss you wayne. as far as i’m concerned my boss has blood on his hands. i wish you listened when i told you to slow down, bub. i wish this system did not fail you. i’m glad you didn’t have to die at work.

Many know by now that a UPS strike is imminent but what some don’t know is that USPS will most likely take on most or all of UPS packages while workers strike. This is a problem because USPS employees can not legally strike and must deliver all packages brought to them or they will be breaking federal law. What can USPS employees do to support UPS workers while also not be punished by the law & be fired?
