First i start at 39 hours, great, kinda happy where I am, company gives great benefits. 12.75 starting, not the best but i have room to grow. A month in, my hours drop to 34. We recently hired a lot of people, makes sense, not worried. Next week? 24 hours. Apparently my hours are cut due to a payroll cut of 18k. The cut being due to our store not making the monthly sales plan. To put the cherry on top, we’re having a national commercial filmed at our store soon. How ironic. How do they expect me to live if they keep cutting my hours? Total ignorance.

Awhile back I was working for a gym as an independent personal trainer, and group trainer. To give background I created my niche classes on my own with no guidance from the owner, and worked my way to being the most sought after trainer in the gym. Now I’m being told because I took a job across town with another gym, (because my income at this gym wasn’t a liveable wage) that “I only “used” them to develop myself, and create better opportunities” so I lack loyalty and integrity? For one I acquired all my education prior to working there, created networking avenues on my own through attending certifications/workshops. I had to acquire all my clients on my own because the owner promoted nobody on the team, but themself. I also had no relationship with the owner other than them reaching out to me to network then they offered me…

(a bit of a personal rant) I'm not sure if this is the right place to post because I love working, I'm the kind of person that loves doing little tasks and walking away with that satisfaction that I've completed my job and did it well. I just hate how everything is. Just how much I have to fight for hours at my current job because scheduling is sO fucked up. I also keep making the mistake of doing extra tasks, it's always blowed up in my face 🙁 My boss also handed everyone a notice saying that they'll be cutting hours due to “budget cuts” unless anyone chooses to “displace” another employee that's lower in seniority. Which is me. Luckily no one voted me off the island, but someone did take it to the union because it seemed so weird, all the dates on it were June when it…

I was at work, when my coworker/ superior on site physically and verbally assaulted me.(threatened to make me shut up while approaching me and putting his chest against mine. Then proceeded to fabricate a story about me brandishing a knife during the altercation to have me trespassed from the worksite. I have a witness to the whole thing that made a statement which describes how I was assaulted and also didn't brandish a knife. I made my supervisors aware of the situation as well as HR know. I got news today, I'm going to be terminated for “disrespecting a superior” while I'm still in my first 90 days (probational period). I'll be making a police report about this as well. Do I have a case for wrongful termination? The only true witness to the whole thing is a fellow coworker, as well as the person who assaulted me has a…
