Getting motion sickness already
I work for a 500+ insurance company, and our team has taken a huge hit in morale. Its a smaller team, but almost 15-20% of our team has quit within 2 months. Its due to a new bonus structure that only our department has (and its exponentially harder to make than anyone else) and low morale snowballing. Im currently picking up the slack for the new guy that doesnt know how to do his job, so im working 2 peoples jobs essentially. I get paid a whopping 41k a year, and it seems like the market average for my area is like, $40k-55k. All id really like is 45k, but hey more is cool. I dont want to sound greedy, but theres MULTIPLE unpaid salaries right now, the bonus structure is not changed from people leaving (harder to achieve), and they’re having me pick up the slackers work. Oh and…
I was recently let go from Meta
My friend sent me this screenshot and I’m not going to lie, it got me mad. Let’s make a game while people are losing their jobs!
Quitting my job over text
Hi everyone, As of late, I have dreaded every moment of my job. I work part-time while in school as an office assistant at a doctor’s office making $16/hr. There have been a few instances with my boss (also the doctor) that have rubbed me the wrong way. I feel taken advantaged of and overworked. The job is severely understaffed and zero work-life balance. Everyday, I’m on constant edge and worried I’ve done something wrong. My boss often finds dumb things to criticize or complain about. Today was been the tipping point. It was my day off and I was bombarded with calls from my boss regarding misplaced medication that I was being blamed for. Eventually, the medication was found but I didn’t receive any apologies or explanation besides a text saying “Found it. It was on the floor.” I was so stressed and worried that I had somehow lost…
Why else sew division, why else completely monitor comms if not control them. Why else keep you barely floating while they stuff themselves with the finest and best. With all the best tech and all the actual wealth floating around everyone should have at least the second best. It's gotten pretty ridiculous – eventually they will be data mining your dreams and you will actually be praying for death.
Can u steal time on overtime ?
Basically I came in on OT for second shift and the shift was full and I’m basically just sitting in the break room. Can I be fired for this ???
Like the fuck is all of reddit on about coming together for some stupid ass reddit app shit. WE ARE LIVING LIKE SLAVES AND THE ONLY THING YOU CAN ALL BAND TOGETHER ABOUT IS YOUR FUCKING MOBILE TIME SINK APP YOU USE TO NUMB YOUR MIND BEFORE AFTER AND DURING YOUR NON LIVING WAGE PAYING JOBS. What a fucking joke. Use up your peasant energy rioting and revolting about stupid shit so things that matter never get addressed. I hope that shit passes and yall lose your favorite reddit app, maybe you'll look around you for once.
I feel need to list red flags
It's in order of me thinking about it. I need this off my chest. The freezer in the back freezes shut, the exit button doesn't work. Sometimes, the door either shocks us or showers us in sparks. The rotisserie oven “backfires” aka flames shoot out of the heating element and there's a boom. The oven was put in seven years ago, turns out it's thirty years old. No replacement parts allegedly. There were exposed wires behind the fryers. The manager looked right at it. It was only fixed because corporate needed to time how long we filter the grease. There's black mold around the deathtrap freezer. My dept manager refuses to print the schedule that allows us to see who is coming in and when. Ex. I didn't know the cake decorator was on vacation. The bakery workers leave at four or five. Us deli workers are expected to take…
