One of our property managers quit. They didn’t have the time (or the budget?) to hire & train someone new before she left. So they brought over an assistant property manager (APM) from another property to be “trained” before the PM’s final day. Then the APM they brought to the main office took over all of the previous PM’s portfolio and responsibilties. She has been managing her properties alone with no help/support from upper management for about 2 months now. So last week I found out they had not given her the title change or pay raise to compensate for her new role & responsibilities. I asked what reason they could possibly have for not compensating her and giving her the title she deserved for basically saving the company’s ass when they had no one to replace the long-standing PM who left. We're still paying the worker's wages via tip. It costs 20 cents to make a pancake. Some of these companies are completely out of hand and raise everything up even though they're not hurting nor important.
I have been working at my current company for almost 2.5 years. It’s been the worst experience so far. Last year there was an employee that had SEVERE anger issues while going through a divorce. She would talk about domestic violence literally EVERY SHIFT, about how she keeps a baseball bat in her car, how she wanted to hit this girl with her car if she saw her, would say the N word constantly, talked terribly about coworkers. I sent an email to my boss explaining all of this (and there’s way more) he told me I was taking things personally. After he had proof these things were happening I still had to work with her because he didn’t see her as an “actual” threat, just someone that talks big and bad. About two weeks after she got fired he told me that I needed to have a backbone literally…
Okay, this woman who I work with doesn’t like me. I have called her out numerous times for being lazy, acting as if shes above everyone else, and not doing her job. I know it’s not my place to do so, but It’s too late to take back the things I said about her to my coworkers. All things are true! I’d bet my life on it! So, for months now we’ve been playing the game of being low key a$$holes to one another at all times. She has truly pinned her buddies against me and I feel very uncomfortable even doing my job sometimes due to this. It’s truly taxing and frustrating for a $40k a year job. She’s very buddy buddy with my one lead, and she even claimed on a few occasions how she “trained” him and how she needs to do it to the new lead.…
