Can someone please explain to me why it's okay for s manager to strip away the hours of an employee who had less than twenty and give them to an employee who already works full time?
Work has given us 2 weeks notice to complete a 3 hour training with a 50 question quiz at the end. Got an email last week saying “hey guys, let's have a comp who can do this training and get the highest score in the team by June 30th” Now our team is so busy that we are almost working a hour overtime each, each day! I actually did slightly over at 7 hour OT over the week. Since we are so busy, I have had to do it at home, on the weekend because I'm just so exhausted at the end of the day. If I do it during the day the im stuffed because what I'm working on will blow out! Work knows this but has “set the challenge” anyway. I got a job working in the real estate industry (I don't want to disclose too much detail for privacy reasons, but I'm directly involved in the paperwork process of house sales). It's a super toxic industry, and even after just a few weeks of this job I've already met a number of landlords who relish in kicking out tenants after purchasing a property or buy up the limited housing in my small town and outsource renting logistics to this truly awful and sadistic rental management company. As a renter I deal with the reality of shitty landlords firsthand. But because I work in the industry, these people laugh about ruining renter's lives to me like it's nothing. Like renters are just dollar signs and not people struggling to make a living and survive. My town has an awful homelessness crisis for good reason. In addition to all that fun…

On my very first shift, it was pretty clear that the management at my work was an odd bunch and perhaps a little problematic. They made a lot of offensive and sexual jokes, oftentimes surrounding the other employees who were minors, including me. For instance, one of the managers tried to trick me into motioning a blow job (salt shaker trick), which while harmless, is pretty weird for a 40 year old guy to do with a 16 year old. The other manager also made similar jokes and tried to play mercy (?) with one of the employees, which I guess is a game to test pain tolerance? Also kind of strange. Anyways, later on I entered into a conversation with a manager about some amateur movies he had worked on. He insisted on showing me some artwork… and most of the posters consisted of topless women, gore, and very…
