Tomorrow is the 30 anniversary of my company, it's like a huge thing with everyone coming (like 100 people from all the country). Last Friday we received an email saying we have to adapt a popular song to the company and our work… You get it.. To sing by agency in front of everyone. It's like a nightmare to me, it's my first “big” company after I got my master degree (at 32)… Wtf!? Does all HR have stupid and humiliating ideas like that? Seriously???

So yeah, I work full time. I make $12 an hour, was told that after I finished school I would make more and my position would change. I graduated in March and nothing has changed. I can’t leave my current job until October 1st due to licensure issues (I’m apprenticing now). I can’t pay my bills and have resorted to sex work. There is nothing wrong with sex work.. but it’s not for me. I can’t find restaurant work. I can’t find ANYTHING that will work with my schedule. So I have to sell myself to afford gas to get too and from my full time job because my pay checks partially cover my bills and that’s it. I’m so over it, I see no end in sight. I don’t want to live like this anymore. No one should work 40+ hours anywhere and then have to sell their body…

Just emailed someone as part of a group message. The reply I received said, “I am out of the office until July 10th. If this is an emergency, hang up and dial 911.” Good for them! Stealing that in the future.
Any European Antiworkers on here?
Curious about fellow European antiwork stories. I know we have it slightly better on this side of the ocean but I feel like a lot of US office culture gets imported to Europe (especially by u.s. based multinationals) including the (sometimes very illegal) bullshit rules and mandates they think up over there. I'll kick off a story from about a year ago. I work for a software company, usually It's fairly good there. Nice benefits. Good colleagues. No ego-tripping managers (usually).
