TLDR: multi-billion company won't pay $250 for training to do my job I'm an analyst and my current position at my company for past 3 yrs has changed significantly. I'm now tasked with creating all kinds of reports thru an application. I'm fine with that, however I'm completely self-taught. I feel like some things are likely harder to decipher due to no formal training. I want to have additional training thru data camp after researching options. It's $250 for 1 yr which I can complete all needed training in that time period. Told my boss. His answer well if you were more IT then maybe, but it's too $$. My company posted +$4bil last qtr in profit. So $250 for me to do my job in an efficient manner shouldn't be a stretch. I've got 10 yrs in with the company & I'm well past 40 and don't want to…

Tips on how to ask for a raise
So.. I just learned my coworkers all make $4+ than me. I started before them maybe a few weeks in total. Feeling very exploited. I took this bank telling job when I was desperate for a job and didn’t particularly fight for a wage when I started. But learning this has left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m going to schedule a meeting with the CEO next week. How do I ask for this raise without admitting coworkers disclosed their wages? It tasted even worst because I work harder than these people. Thank you in advance.
never work at cinemark theaters
my first job is currently at cinemark theaters and idk if it's the case with all cinemarks but the one i work at is absolute trash! today i go into work in a few hours and im getting depressed and anxious thinking about my upcoming shift. the workplace and manager make me wanna scream and cry when i walk in. reasons are, we have to work constantly for 8 hours or so, without sitting down, always standing. because the lead managers believe if we have time to sit and chill, we have time to clean every particle of the theater. not to mention even if the entire building is CLEAN, we have to clean it AGAIN AND AGAIN. and our breaks don't even make it up to us. we only have ONE break for 30 min. that isn't fair for us working our booty off! i def wasn't expecting this…
super simple. rules for me but not for thee doesn’t bode well when we out number the 1% one million to one.
Work from home wirks
“Several studies over the past few months show productivity while working remotely from home is better than working in an office setting. On average, those who work from home spend 10 minutes less a day being unproductive, work one more day a week, and are 47% more productive.”
Advice on which jobs I should go for
I’m 19 and over a year in customer service, with the recent turn of events with the student loan forgiveness, I will need to help out my family in getting a job to providing some money for paying off loans. I loathe jobs in customer service, however it’s the only one I’m really qualified at my age and experience so… I either have two options, either as a cashier at a BP Trio gas station, or a cashier/stocker at an Ace Hardware store. I’m scheduled for an interview for Ace Hardware in a couple days so I’m unsure on wages- but for the gas station it’s 15 an hour. I want to go for whoever is offering the most, but also want to consider the stress each job offers (As I’ve had plenty from working in McDonald’s). The gas station isn’t on a busy intersection, so it seems rather low…
