I’m about to work seven days in a row.
I’m having a third interview for another job Wednesday, so I’m trying to wait to put in my 2 weeks. But I hate it here so much. It’s emotionally exhausting and my anxiety is way too high. I just wanna quit now or go ahead and put in my 2 weeks. But I’m worried that if I do I’ll shoot myself in the foot with getting that other job.
Texas A&M publicly bragging about this
The phrase is: Happy FriYAY! They sent a email to all management saying that using this phrase on all Fridays going forward is a requirement and as a free way to boost morale and improve employee culture. I am a 37M in middle management at a 1,000 person middle market organization. This is so cringe. I will not be using it. How about addressing employee retention with spot bonuses and raises? Nope. Let’s do this instead. I.am.done.

Finally, some good news
It can be done
I read so much on here and it helps keep me motivated to help employees do their best, help them fight for raises ect. I work in a library, making a good salary, and its a job where im happy and we help the community grow. I have a great team. This is all after ive had jobs so toxic i would have literal anxiety about going in. I'm happy to go to work. It can get better if you keep trying
Not sure if I should stir the pot
So I was out on intermittent fmla Wednesday and yesterday. Yesterday voluntary cancels were brought up. I was not included in this conversation and one of my peers got a half day today and Monday off. According to our union policy, I should have been part of the conversation and it should have gone through me as well. My boss has been told this before as a warning by a fellow co worker. Do I stir the pot and say something? Or do I just let it go? I should also add that I asked for Wednesday off as a voluntary cancel since I was skipped and I was denied.
Must be able to work for free?
I'm baffled why people have applied for this considering it says this in the opening paragraphs, what a red flag!!
