I guess it was bound to happen since business was running slow and me doing menial tasks I don't like.
I once worked somewhere where mysteriously a toilet would always be blocked before 9am by someone. We're talking about feces covered with a ridiculous amount of paper towels, made soggy from flushing attempts, sometimes with overspill on the floor, thus making the toilet unusable to others. It was busy office floor with say 120 people on that floor. I figured it was the same person and suspected someone. I don't recommend doing this if you're unhappy in your job. It's not fair on others to deal with that every day.
It's hard to find an employer that doesn't claim to believe in investing in training and developing its staff. However many people at such companies ask for training, or suggest training for others, and suddenly managers disappear and no training arrives. A good way to be taken off a task is to say you require training to do it…
I got fired after working two days
I don't know if this belongs here but I have watched this sub for awhile and just wanted to rant to some similar minded people. Today has sucked and I just want to get some stuff of my chest. I finished school in April and was receiving funding while in school, so I've been without income since the end of April. I started applying for jobs around a week into May and have applied to over 100 jobs since and heard back from very few, I've heard back from probably around 10-15 and done in person interviews for 5. I got hired as a housekeeper but I quit after working a few shifts because I quickly realized it wasn't for me and that the management was poor. And just went I was feeling truly hopeless and like there would be no job out there that I would actually enjoy and…
I'm a Nurse WFH. I work within a small company with my friend from college as we graduated together. We are all nurses on my team (about 6 of us). My friend Amy and i's main tasks are calling medical clinics and scheduling appointments with the other nurses to complete insurance claims.I began working for this company last year with my friend, and got the hang of everything pretty quickly. I've always been working efficiently and working to get things done as i do not like to fall behind. I don't have OCD, but when i'm behind on something i start to overly stress out and panic. So i've been able to manage my workload pretty well and schedule around 20 phone appointments with Dr's and the other nurses. My friend has fallen behind due to being sick, having days off so her cases in her name have piled up and…
Hi, how do you report embezzlement?
Long and short my husband's former boss is currently setting herself up in her next business venture on the owner's dime. When my husband expressed his suspicions in conversation with another employee with the same ideas she overheard the conversation on one of the listening devices in the kitchen….hence the former workplace. So, how do you report it? Also, normally just let shitheads shit, but she also blocked his unemployment by telling them she threatened her….so, advice?
As pretty much stated in the title, I was recruited for a network construction manager/quality and compliance manager role with a major company. There was much excitement over my skill-set, knowledge base and vast comprehensive experience. I was fast tracked for the role and an interview was scheduled with great urgency and alacrity. I have been out of work since December of 2021. This job would solve all of my family's problems quite swiftly. I am eager to get back in the game and start earning income. The recruiter is pumped and passionate. The account manager is deeply invested in my landing this role. Even the hiring manager was impressed and excited. The interview is scheduled via Teams and I am on-deck 5 minutes before the interview is to start. Ten minutes elapse and no hiring manager. I contact the account manager and ask her to reach out to the…
So I am expecting my first child…
And I’m excited. The due date is approaching, and I can’t wait. I was talking to my job about paternity leave, which many others have received paid in the past. My conversation did not go well. I was offered 3 days of paid time off, and pretty much told that any time after that is not paid. I can’t afford a week or 2 off, especially with rising prices of things. My wife won’t be working for a while (obviously) so we are now a one income household. I have put in over a decade at this company, and now I feel like I hate the place because I’m having to choose between time with my first time and wife, or providing for them. Because of heath reasons, our hospital stay when she gives birth may be 3-4 days, so potentially my wife won’t even be out of the hospital…
