Hello all. I could use some advice. Working for a company that is 24-7 care of kids. They are often placing our schedule up on Monday or Tuesday when the work week begins on Monday. I have off Monday and Tuesdays so makes it more difficult for me. Plus I'd like to know who I am working with as I have to come in early if I'm stationed on med counts. I got grouchy and addressed it in the log book as the last time I called to have somebody fax me a copy they were rude about it. i just don't feel I can win. Next I've been placing in PTO requests and often do not get a sheet back with approval or denial. Six weeks ago I put a PTO request in, didn't hear back , and then was told the day before that they did no receive…
On Wednesday morning, my manager pulled me in and gave me a letter stating my wages would be increased $1 per hour (if you've read my previous posts…this is still a pathetic wage). He then proceeded to tell me that I am not to discuss wages with my coworkers as salary is a private matter. Well, I heard about the raise before our meeting because my coworkers told me about it….and that they were told not to talk about it. One did it because she wanted to see if they said that because everyone got a different increase…we all got $1. However….the earlier you were hired, the less you make. So, even after the increase I make more than someone who started a year before me. One such person, apparently took this information from our coworkers, went to management and asked why she wasn't making as much as new hires.…
Like what the fuck? I'm just giving your assess courtesy. Apparently if it's not in writing it isn't the right way. Like bruh if I wrote it on some toilet paper would that be okay? I'm so over that place. I'm definitely coasting these next two weeks doing the bare minimum. They even mentioned how some people like to glide by the next 2 weeks after putting in notice. I'm just standing there like that's going to be me. 🤣
Please. They practically have me right on the cusp of full time, but if they’re gonna do me like that? Someone else can come in, cause i’d rather be home for christmas than make like 60 bucks. Don’t know why part timers wouldn’t get it if full timers are always the ones that make sure to get the holidays off.
I work at a franchise location for Dunkin Donuts. I’ve been here for about 6 months. I’m a shift leader, I got promoted four months in with the worth of a 50¢ raise. When I was hired, both I and the network trainer agreed on full time hours. The store I originally was hired for was still not open yet so I was working at their sister store. About a month later the store I work at now finally opened. The majority of my coworkers are awesome, they’re pretty much the only reason my days here are bearable which obviously isn’t enough. I am not getting full time hours. On a good week I get about 23 hours. I’ve asked my boss time after time which she’s agreed and said they’d do better each time. No progression whatsoever. I need this job because I receive rental assistance but in order…
verbal warning one month into new job
okay.. so i started a new job about a month ago, on May 1st. Remote job for an entry level mortgage position. I have experience, but not with the closing process. I made that quite frank when I was hired. I am familiar with the software, just not with the new company business processes and procedures. Now that I am in the closing department now, it is way different than what I was doing before process wise. But the system software is all the same. Here is an idea of how my 1st month has gone. First week of my job- manager was on vacation. So another manager for a different dept welcomes and “managed” me. I did e learnings and trainings.. second week, manager is back and I have another week of training but this time through teams so it was a bit more hands on. After that week…
