Started a new job in 2017. Took nearly a year to learn the trade and not be dependent of older colleagues. Suddenly mass lay-offs as entire company reorganizes and people shuffle around. Get one big client which requires full time 4 people on-site, train 2 new guys, get 2 years of good results with time to spare. Actually nice to be at, own office free coffee, … Fast forward to now, employer has been sold out to a holding of some sort, clients factory has grown immensely, 1 co-workers has been on-off sick/operations for 1,5 years. One colleague got other extra work to do, meantime i had 3 kids and work 4/5 days. oldest colleague is near retirement and only works 3/5 days. keeping this vague for privacy reasons — i work at a fast food chain, let's say minimum wage here was $10. all part time workers made minimum wage, but anyone who worked 40 hours a week got $12 an hour. recently, our minimum wage went up to (let's say) $11.50/hr. logically, you'd think full time employees would go up to $13.50/hr right? well, according to (fast food chain)'s new policy, full time workers now make minimum wage too. their pay literally went DOWN with the wage increase. pretty much all of my coworkers that previously worked full time have requested to be brought back down to part time hours again, myself included. most of us are still in school, so having extra free time is more valuable than working more hours, and without the $2 wage increase it's just not worth it to sacrifice 40 hours a week anymore. it's…

Hi guys, Yesterday I went to HR to ask for a replacement to the other team (I work in shifts), it's the exact same job i'm doing right now. She said I had to solliciate via e-mail. I did, I explained i'm mistreated and feel bad in my current team and I really wanna go to the other team. I've been miserable for years in this team and now finally I see an oppurtunity to leave because somebody was fired in the other team (the EXACT same position I have for 12 years now). The mail was quite lengthy, I put a lot of effort in it, explaining my misery. Now I received a mail back from HR which litteraly says: “Send me a cv, grts” ​ Like wtf is she making fun of me?
