There is literally zero reason to give notice ever. Just lock up your next job and wait until you’re ready for a few days off and do whatever the fuck you want. This is such an exhilarating feeling. Even if you liked your boss, they could have paid you more. Fuck the man.

It all just stresses me out at this point. I just wanna feel free, man. Free from worrying about bills, or my future career. I just wanna enjoy my time and do what I love. I understand that some people get to be paid to do what they love, but I seem to struggle with finding a way to do that…especially when I live in a poor-ish rural area. I work in mental health and it’s definitely something I care about, but I wanna go to school and get a degree as I have more of an entry level job and I feel immensely under qualified (and under paid) for the work that I actually do. I wouldn’t mind pursuing psychology and maybe either being a teacher of something (I also love music and I play instruments/sing I just struggle with finding money to get appropriate gear to even record…

a little funny story that i wanna vent because i have not slept for the past 18 hours because my supperiors were morons over the years i have been working here i have seen hundreds of people come and go leaving the emails, accounts, templates and folders on the server and eventually it just becomes a mess and fills it up so now one of them have the genius idea of purging the servers with any names who no longer work for the company the problem the schedules, files, customer data and ect. belong in those old accounts we just used them because hey it still works so one day i get a call to head to the office because suddenly everything was gone i asked around and nobody knows why i even asked the girl who deleted everything and turns out she didnt know that everything was connected…
Firstly, I for one do not consider myself anti-work, however I have had the support from my job and a little finance from my parents to have what most may consider a frictionless transition between school and work. I am, to a degree, privileged. When I hear “anti-work” I think of two things: an abstract society where all needs of the people are met (to me this is impossibly sustainable considering the high demand for labor currently), and the negative connotation of the stereotypical lazy communist. I’ve seen a common argument made on this sub claiming “Labor is not desirable or fulfilling”. This is but an opinion of course. I find labor to be essential to human survival. If we were to never industrialize what would the world look like? I believe it would be an agrarian society where all individuals fend more for themselves (very labor intensive). But then…

watching sick old people being bled of their homes, assets, savings, when they are sick and elderly.. by the time you are 80+ you should not have to worry about being taken care of. it should all be just taken care of no questions and you should never have to worry about losing your house, savings, etc. why did i post this in anti work? because.. if you think about it.. our whole system is designed to fuck you every step of the way. exploit your labor while your young and healthy. only to drain anything you did happen to accumulate when you are old and dying. there is no point in your life you can actually just step back and relax they are after you from birth to death and its just been eye opening and morally defeating. this country does not deserve its citizens. we work to hard…
