Subject to disciplinary measures
I'm in a project based role at the moment, but the company has me listed at non exempt. That being said, no OT is allowed – yet I am still pressured to complete deliverables by the specified deadlines as we will be at risk of regulatory agency fines. I admit, I did what everyone says not to: I worked unpaid OT to get things done so I don't feel stressed out or harassed. I've been manually filling out my electronic timecard to make my timesheet show 8 hours a day instead of 8.5-9 hours a day. Yes, I know, it was stupid. But my own director had told me that if I worked over one day, I could come in late the following day if I wanted to. Didn't really do that more than once or twice over the past three years, but it was nice to know I had…

Hi folks, as the title suggests, I'm unfortunately getting rebadged to an outsourcing company doing the same job I have with same benefits. Unfortunately, I already had pre planned vacation from months ago that was approved by the previous company, and this new company is refusing to work with me when it comes to onboarding and I9 verification stuff when it comes to the timeline and my vacation interfering. I don't want to take up too many characters, so that's all I'll say for now. If more context is needed, please ask away. My question is, how should I word this situation when they ask why I'm leaving my current job? I don't want to sound so negative, but I want to be as honest as possible soot doesn't seem like I'm putting on an act. Any thoughts, folks? Thanks!
Caught in a time loop.
They won’t pay you a livable wage at the cost of record profits. They will instantly fire you when you give your notice regardless of years of service. They will demand you work extra/insane hours to accommodate lack of workers or they will reduce your hours until you quit. They will require you to do the work of multiple people instead of hiring help or giving you a raise/promotion. They will cancel your time off or require you to be available even when on holiday. They will fail to adequately pay you for work done for entire pay periods. They will fire you upon finding out you are looking elsewhere for work. They will hire new employees at a higher salary point than yours regardless of years of service. We know all of this. Nothing has changed. We are over 2 million strong just in here with a majority of…
