idk if this is the right sub but i worked at a hotel in miami beach and just recently came back from vacation about a week ago (bare with me as it’s integral to the story), my old bosses have been offering me a promotion but i declined a good 5 times because i don’t want the responsibility nor will they give me the raise i deserve for dealing with that shit. since i was working in 3 different departments, i’ve been asking for a raise but they’ve been blowing me off for months on end. so she decided to not do any of her work the week i was gone and saved it all for me so that i could do it when i came back. these are things that SHE should be doing if she’s a boss… right?? anyways, today she decides to blame me for her mess…

I work in tech and I've been unemployed for about 1.5 months now and have been interviewing like crazy. Despite having five years in my field, I haven't gotten past round 2 for most employers (not to mention so many companies nowadays demand you do online assessments before you even get to speak with a person) because there are two disciplines in my career. Without giving anything away, I've primarily focused on discipline A up till now because those were the roles I've been offered and there was never any room for me to tackle discipline B type of work. Some of you might find this funny. In March got approved to work from home just before having surgery for a brain tumor. If you ask me they did it because I am a walking OSHA and Workman's comp hazard. Was supposed to be off work for six weeks. Manager calls me 3 weeks after surgery to ask work questions. “Dude, I don't know. I can't think straight.” He gets annoyed. I get extended another six weeks because brains don't like being told how fast they have to heal. I now have one more month off work until the end of June. Now my company is pushing my manager to take back my company phone and send it in. I remind him that I am approved to work from him until the end of September. Look, I doubt this is the right sub for this, but how can I make money with just a laptop and preferably all alone. Doesnt have to be a full living wage, just something to supplement my money that i get 100% of. I know how to do some computery things. What would you advise as a boss-less side hustle?
