A friend had recently threw up at work and was sent home. Our work has a “points” system for call-offs, leaving early, etc. leaving work will get them 1 points, no call no show for three, with a max of nine till being fired. What had happened is they ended up vomiting in the back, sent home, and had gotten a point for leaving early, fair enough it’s an automated system and just detects that you clocked out early and the managers will review it later. What I need help with is figuring out whether or not the company can make them keep the points, as they had “decided” to go home because of being sick. Now being in food service, isn’t it health-code law to be sent home, no matter why you threw up? They are trying to make them take the point, where we don’t think that’s how…

So I’m 28 and I’ve been doing delivery work to make ends meet while I try to make music. Pretty much a starving artist at this point but I’m happy at least trying to follow my dreams. I had a shop and deliver I was working on yesterday and one order was really small it was just some eggs and other breakfast foods. When I went to drop the order off it was at an address near the college town but I figured it wouldn’t be too rowdy given the contents of the order. I work as an alarm dispatcher. Started working there three months ago. It is a lot to take in at first if you have no similar experience. I was asked to help train another employee the other day. I expressed my concerns but did as I was told. I definitely did not feel like a good fit after helping out with training, I already didnt feel ready enough. The other employees that were hired with me haven’t even been asked or had to do other things that I had to rush and get certified for. Anyways I’m a rambler, but today I was told that I was sitting with someone all by myself (was at least with an actual trainer for like a few hours the other day) and training someone new. Essentially… I am ready to quiet quit on life. I’m in my first year taking college classes, and it has been a disaster so far. I’m not cut out for this. I probably have ADHD and cannot see myself being able to devote the focus required to get through college. I wanted to drop out months ago, but my family was pretty vehemently against the idea and I was talked into taking another semester. Needless to say, it’s not a conversation I want to have with any of them again, so my current plan is to finish up this semester. But then I want to use the Summer to secretly search for a job. Which brings me to the titled question. What’s the easiest job I can attain with only a HS diploma? I’m looking for something easy that doesn’t take much effort or add much stress to my life;…
