Proud of Overworking?

Am I crazy? I saw this sign at a diner and felt that it was bragging about the fact that their employer overworks and understaffs their employees. Like instead of putting a sign in my face could you please treat your employees well?

Receiving triple KPIs for achieving the monthly targets.

After relentless efforts, my Marketing & Sales team has achieved the sales targets for three consecutive months. Instead of rewarding us, my boss decided to skip the approved annual plan and triple KPIs for the third and fourth quarters of 2023. The reason is simple: “If you can perform this well, I believe you can meet even triple or five times the KPIs, so I'm setting the minimum at triple.” Well, now the entire team is completely fucked-up.

Only takes 10% of a Country’s Population to Revolt.

Are you in favor of detaining conservatives in Labor camps? Do this by voiding the citizenship of anyone displaying, wearing, owning MAGA and confederacy branded apparel, as these items are considered treasonous. Just curious. Asking for friend.

I am completely astonished by the posts from the US, I ran the Math for Austria for comparison

So, most apparentments I can get here with an area of 35 square metres (370 square feet) to 50 square metres (540 square feet) go from 450€ to 650€ a month unless you live in a major city like Vienna or Graz. 35 square metres already is pretty decent, I don't think you would need anything bigger unless you have kids, even living together with a partner 50 square metres is perfectly fine. So for other monthly expenses, you can get food for a person without eating out for around 80-100€ a month. Heating is around 120-160€ a month but it varies Water single person about 30€ a month Electricity got pretty expensive recently so you could propably pay 80-100€ a month. Other commodities like internet, streaming services, subscriptions, phone provider should add up to around 100€ a month if we are generous. Last but not least transport if you…

Today is the day!

I'm over it. I've been lurking here for a while and decided it's time to call it quits with my job. I thought I got lucky, I thought I had finally found the good one, the answer to what the question of what fuck I've been doing with myself, but I was wrong. And today, I'm going to quit. Yesterday I had a pretty big issue. I went to service a piece of equipment, and let them know that had X not happened at Y time in the order it was currently happening in, a catastrophe up to and including loss of life could occure. They didn't have the authority to make that call to prevent damage and the loss of life , so I asked to speak to whoever was in charge. As I was explaining what was in danger of immediately happening if they didn't correct the issue…

Work friends CAN be real friends.

I see on this sub all the time that work friends AREN'T real friends – I get that this is true a lot of the time, but a lot of the time it also isn't true. I met my wife in one office I worked in. I met my best man in another office. I hated both of those jobs, but they both changed my life. I'm as anti-work as the next person, I'm 36 and have about 5 years left in me before I go full Falling Down, but I just want to say that you can make real, meaningful connections in horrible places.
