I'm a delivery driver. This man pays us the minimum wage ($7.25/hr) and only $4/hr on the road which is most of the time we're working. The employees are always pouring sweat because we have to work in a tiny location that was never intended to be a restaurant, with a pizza oven and he refuses to turn on the AC. We only get 1 uniform shirt, I've never worked at a restaurant that only gives you one shirt and no, even if you ask for another you're not allowed to have one. The only person allowed to be full time is the general manager because the owner doesn't want to have to give people insurance benefits or pay overtime. So now that you know that the dude is your typical “Employees are just numbers on a spreadsheet, not people” type, let me tell you what he just did that…

so gist is, been working a part-time office job for about a year and a half now. and for the most part, not too bad of a gig, all things considered. i get the option to work up to eight hours if i want, and if they have the work to spare. and the work is so mind-numbingly easy i get eight hours worth of work done in three. since nobody checks up on me for the most part (hearing and seeing the sheer totalitarianism of american businesses makes me feel really lucky about this place), i spend the rest of the time learning new things like coding, maths and sciences, history, or just getting some creative writing done. now, at an e-meeting today, supervisor mentioned an opening for a full-time position that's one step up the corporate ladder: pretty much the same thing but with extra duties like training…

Just read the merger on espn, so now liv/pga tours are all tax exempt? I know the nfl is as well, and I see baseball is moving the Oakland a’s as long as taxpayers pay for a new stadium they in return don’t have to pay taxes with… seems fair. I have no point just a rant.

It's like what the actual fuck am I supposed to do? I'm working 3 jobs, 60 hours a week, just to pay rent, utilities, and groceries. And this MF just sitting around getting thousands of dollars a month because he has multiple real estate properties. I'm so fucking depressed RN.

I just can't do it anymore. I can't handle working in this current environment. Retail, food, sales, manufacturing, etc… I've tried to make my way in so many different fields just to always end up back at square one. I understand a big part of the problem is probably me but at this point idk what to do. My mental health is in absolute ruins and working has only made it worse. The current work culture is just in too bad a state right now I can't handle it. Idk what's gonna happen to my finances and my assets but at this point I don't think it even matters. I'm just done and defeated. I can't make it in the modern workforce. I don't think there is a job out there for me that can sustain me while also not making me miserable or treating me horribly.
