How is that entry level?!
Genuinely curious; things suck for a lot of people but Im curious if good stories are allowed to see its nuance, or if it’s better to only have negative stories so that you feel more anger and willing to strike or do something about it
I see this written about in articles and such, but can't find any concrete examples. I am looking actual data with real examples of tax breaks given to companies that are filling offices in cities.
I work for a pretty ethical company and I'm salary. I recently participated in an event on a Sunday (my day off) so I started work late Monday to compensate myself. I also have a firm personal rule about only working 40 hours no matter what. On the rare occasion I have felt it ok to do more…I comp myself time the next day. I am salary and can do so…but many employees are not/can not without express approval. I know one participant used their PTO because they work Sundays. Recently my office sent a communication about other voluteer opportunities at local non profits that support the communities where we have offices. All great causes. But there was a line in the communication stating that participation must only occur if the volunteer dates are on existing days off. It's 100% unpaid and volunteer. Started a new job 4 months ago. Insurance promised after 1 month. Still don’t have it due to the company that’s used saying it’s not a qualifying event being a new hire. For reference I’m the GM of an independent restaurant. Insurance company is saying I need proof of lost coverage from my old job. Issue is nobody will respond from the job or insurance provider. What can I do? I need insurance ASAP!! Do I start looking?
