I CD. I xx
First time ko somewhat makatagal sa job. Malapit na ako maka 6 months. Ang gusto ko talaga work eh sa creative side, more on visuals.
All work, no pay
I got promoted to middle management with my first shift being the nighttime babysitter on 4/11… over 2 weeks ago I confirmed im still making the store minimum wage, and haven't received my $8 hrly raise. At that time I notified the assistant store director (the head is on hiatus) and the going forward wage remains unchanged. So, I contacted a union rep. The union needs copies of the schedule & witness statements to confirm when I was promoted, which I understand. On the flip side, 2 weeks after notification my current pay has not been changed. In addition, my request for next Saturday off so I can complete my obligation to volunteering for youth sports has been ignored. While I want to keep working the way I do, to earn the backpack check I expect, I am conflicted. Due to being part of a huge successful corporation, is there…
Question about holiday pay
As the title suggests I’m curious to know if companies are supposed to compensate you for working on a federal holiday. I’ve asked a few friends and also googled and looked at a few sources regarding the topic but haven’t gotten a clear response. The reason why I’m curious is because my boss told me that we might be getting time and a half but only up until midnight (I work 3rd if you couldn’t tell) my friends and every source basically says they have to compensate you with something and it has to be for the entire shift. I don’t have very much work experience so I sort of take everything at face value but I’m also not trying to get taken advantage of. Thanks in advance I’ll respond as quickly as I can I’m currently in the bathroom while I type this while letting my feet and legs…
I am demotivated at work due to low pay
Hi guys, I just want to start off by giving a history of my work background. I graduated from biology and was supposed to work in the lab, but I wanted to do office work so I started working in the medical device industry since more than a year ago. However, I have prior work experience – 6 months in the hospital, 3 months in the lab(internship),3 months in digital marketing, 6 months in Public Relations. I finally got a regulatory role in medical devices but as an assistant, as I had no prior experience to regulatory affairs. I asked for 3k a month but was refused as the boss told me I had to train first and go through probation, they kinda lowballed me and gave me 2.6k, which is trainee salary. After I passed probation, I was told that they cannot give me increment due to lack of…
Alright back to work
3 more weeks of my job left
My rotation is over in 3 weeks it's so close and yet so far. That's all. That's the whole post
I had an interview for a job a few weeks back and suddenly my current boss pulls me aside and asks me about this company I was interviewing for. I was flabbergasted. I told no one that I was even looking for another job. My current boss told me that someone from this other company called him to ask about me and my credentials. This new company knew I was still working at my current company, I have it stated in plain sight on my resume. Now everyone, including my boss, knows that I’m looking for a new job. Just great. I didn’t get the job either.
