My company tried to buy me out the other day, offered me 4 weeks pay and everything. Wanted my decision by the next morning. As I’m reading the package, they put a 12 month non-compete clause in there. Next day I said I would sign it if they took out the non compete clause, to which I was told no but it doesn’t apply to me and they wouldn’t pursue it anyway. I replied that if it doesn’t apply to me and you wouldn’t pursue it then it shouldn’t be a problem to remove it. Still no. They don’t revise their severance contracts. Ok. Then I’m not signing it. With that they told me that if I was staying then we are going to have to write me up for an instance where I argued with one of our salespeople over the phone and one that took place 2 months…

I can’t explain it anymore or less clearly. If a job doesn’t support my well being and threatens my job if I call out for being sick they aren’t the job for me. It’s one of my biggest boundaries, I’m very blessed that one of my jobs is very understanding but I’m in psych field so it’s more common for being ill. I work with kids. But if a clinic doesn’t understand you took a sick kid and allowed them around me now…I need to take care of myself. I also work at Starbucks now to pay for school cus they have great benefits. They are a lot less understanding and I could give 2 fucks. Like beyond could give two fucks. If I’m sick I’m sick.

Especially important if you have a connected email. Reddit generates incredibly detailed data and wait until your data is slopped out, even more so, in the name of quarterly growth for the shareholders. Take a list of subreddits and delete. Create a new account, you don’t need an email, make a new one and start fresh.
