Does Wendys drug test? I just started at Wendy’s and a lot of the employees including the manager asked if I smoke weed. I even saw a bong on the managers desk and they asked if they can take a video of me taking a rip in full uniform. I wonder if I should. I am a stoner but I wonder why everyone smokes weed all the time.

So my workplace doesn't have anybody to clean anywhere, it's just expected that we, the employees, keep up and maintain the stores cleanliness. BtW we work in a pharmacy. Usually by 12 I'm burnt out and tired. People leave their dishes in the sink for weeks. Nobody cleans up after themselves. We have one girl who cleans the bathrooms on weekends. Idk it's just weird to me, I've never worked somewhere like this.

Hey there, I work fastfood in Ontario, and we're getting three paychecks for the month of June and I want to get myself more savings to put away by working overtime. I know a lot of places don't like to give overtime and I heard that some places even get their employees to sign a paper saying that they give up their time and a half for ot. Even if they do sign, would they still be entitled to it if it was illegal for the employer to waive it?

Got through all the paperwork in one day. Mere minutes after submitting it, I received and was alerted to a background check and obliged. The next day at work I had all new responsibilities and expectations and have been doing the extra work for three weeks now. Manager keeps moving the goalpost. All the paperwork and credentials got knocked out in a matter of minutes; the payraise? Oh that'll take until Sunday. Oh sorry not today, we'll get it in by Tuesday. Oh, what? That still hasn't gone through? I'll call the office… Office says you should be good on Friday. What do I do? I'm actually livid. I really need that raise and I've been doing tasks that have been put upon me in exchange FOR the raise. They've shorted me nearly $600 in the last three weeks alone just by NOT giving me the raise. so this might be kind of an obvious answer but i have some questions with how i should go about this. i requested off for a few days back in april as my company’s PTO policy is weird, and you basically lose all of your PTO on your anniversary date, then earn it again throughout the year. i wanted to use my pto before i lost it so picked some random days to take off. everything was approved as normal and i was able to take off. the issue came a week after those days i had off, when i wasn’t paid for most of my PTO. i contacted my payroll department, HR, my supervisor – everyone i needed to to get things sorted out because this happened over the course of two weeks. come to find out, even though i was approved for all the PTO that was submitted,…

Coworker seems to be mentally unwell just based off this rant he went on. I was the only other one in the breakroom he was frustrated something didn't work and he said a lot of all the wall things but at some point got on the topic of work and said “I'm already close to blowing out my own fucking brains why shouldn't I just take care of this place as well and then run away as far as I can” He's relatively new and no one knows him that well and he does everything he can to avoid interacting with us all.
