This might just me ranting based on my personal current situation but many of us just want to work. My assistant just wants to work in peace but our management is making this place too toxic for her and I to continue working. We have literally doubled our production in the last 5 years while our staff has been reduced from 5 to just 2 and till now my assistant was happy here because the management was toxic only to me and I blocked anything from them to reach her. But all this is changed now because they're directly harassing her and playing politics. We are both looking for other work but there isn't many options out there in my country but eventually, we will both go and who will be at a loss? Us the employees who just wants to do good work and will continue to do so…

I’m constantly reminded of the last company I worked where my holiday bonus was a Costco winter jacket with the company logo embroidered on it, with the sleeves about 5” too short for me. When I rejected it, they attempted to bill me for it for wasting their wonderful gift.

These donations were collected less than a year ago after our whole office had been strictly WFH due to covid. I continued working from home until I couldn’t, which was last week. I can’t say I wasn’t surprised. Everything had gotten really weird beginning of 2nd quarter. I was hoping I was just being paranoid, but turns out I wasn’t. I tried working extra hard, not taking time off and contributing extra to meetings. Turns out none of it mattered. The “business needs changed” and they need someone with different experience than mine apparently. The experience they are looking for is actually on my resume if the new manager would have taken the time to talk to me and learn my strengths. They are “being generous” by not ending my employment until 6/1. My manager couldn’t even be part of the call, so I didn’t get to ask questions or say goodbye to the team.
