I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this discussion but I'm curious what steps should be taken to stop a monopoly board game style of ending for the world economy. Obviously the idea of stopping someone from making money is immoral but after a billion dollars? It's been proven that a single person can't spend that. At what point should the rest of us simply say, “Well done sir, here's your billion dollars, but stop passing go.”?

….I don’t have to come into the office as much, and I don’t have to apologize for it” and then continued on with all of the things he gets to do for himself in his free time. It was said in a friendly setting of co-workers and everyone else seemed to nod and smile. They seemed to genuinely appreciate his comment and felt acknowledged for their “hard work.” I can’t believe I’m the only one who felt extremely put off by this comment. I would love to be able to take time to take care of myself when I need to – to go to mid-morning yoga classes and run errands and catch up with friends, hell, even make a doctor’s appointment without being lectured for missing work. It would be so nice not to squeeze grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, rest and socialization into two days. I could get my…
Hi Everyone… I've posted here before that I am finding it really hard to suit in this company that I interned at as a fresh graduate. This place is around 17 minutes (without traffic jam) and paid the highest among other offers I received. During my internship, I've been in other department and now I'm in a different department meaning different work scope, etc. What baffles me is the same pattern of the company culture. The office is very quiet and cold. Almost no one interact with each other. Sometimes I think the sound of my mouse clicking is very loud compared to the office environment that's like a library. I don't want to be seen as whining but a place where asking question is really beneficial for someone who's new. Besides, this doesn't help with me being an extrovert. My boss speaks to me explaining thing in whispering manner.…
I overheard the owner of the small car dealership I work at go on a 5 minute rant about how all Asian people are lower than pond scum, I quit. This was after he met my Asian wife. How do I tell interviewers I left because he is a racist, and that I’m sick of working for racists?
I ask because this individual is always starting drama and gossiping about others. They will also keep me on the phone for at least an hour. Thoughts?
I was set up to fail in my new position
I’ve been working at my current job for about a year and a half. Was the best person on my old position, but it wasn’t paying enough and I was doing 95% of the work while the rest of the “team” ran back and forth between bathrooms. I finally applied for a different position, got it, and was supposed to start training. Now this is a plant job, so I’m not supposed to do anything without being trained, and training was supposed to last for 1 month. I got 6 hours where my trainer didn’t even speak to me and was thrown into my own module with no idea what I’m doing and constantly being yelled at for not being able to keep up. I honestly feel like I was set up to fail. My supervisor is the one who decided which module I’ll be in every shift and he…
Unfair WFH policies
My job has a large amount of wfh employees that they hire in states without physical locations but they will not let anyone that lives near a location wfh. It makes no sense to me. And then they tell me I can WFH if I were to move. Literally what sense does that make??? They just don’t wanna lose out on their real estate investments and somehow that’s my fucking problem. So sick of jobs and their dumb BS policies like this.
