My works HR team had put peoples salary, visa and more personal information into a folder system that could be viewed by anyone in the company with out knowing. I found this a check to see what people in similar roles were making compared to myself but also did the right thing by reporting this to HR. Now HR is trying to get myself in trouble for looking into folder that anyone could have looked into but was removed as soon as I let them know of the issues. Should I really be getting into shit for looking a public documents?

“Rising food and labor cost”
I remarked jokingly that the employee must have pretty good pay, the dude replied I get paid $11, for perspective I rent a 1 bedroom that has antique appliances and no light in the bedroom or living room and is 1 mile away from this subway and I pay $1200 a month, or $1900 a month factoring in all necessary living expenses like food. This owner only has 1 priority and it's not his employees.
What’s even the point anymore
How to politely opt out of a position?
So I thought going back to my old position as a baker would be a wise decision, however the shifts fluctuate too much for me and I prefer to have shifts that are the same everyday to keep a steady sleep schedule as I've struggled with that in the past and became a sleeping pill addict due to it. Also a coworker I had major issues with also works there, I was under the impression he wasn't working there anymore but my mom told me he's “excited for his girl to come back”. I'm financially stable enough to support myself for the next month or so and have applied to two other jobs that I will most likely get accepted into due to prior experience and I'm wondering if you guys think it would be a wise decision to opt out now before I let her down and end up…
Saw this and it made me sad
This is what most of us in r/Antiwork strives for: Meaningful basics. Have a listen. Spread the news, share the news, since mainstream media and economic interest groups won't. Both try to suppress this. Since it would cut down their influence, power, and abiility to continue their exploitation, supression, disenfranchisement and gate keeping! SPREAD THE WORD! Workers unite! Unionize! Fight for your rights! Stronger together!
Health Care for the Pyramid Builders
I don’t understand why our modern day pharaohs refuse to invest in the the health care system. Even soulless sociopaths should realize it’s in their best interest to keep the slaves in tiptop shape so we can keep making pyramids for them. They’re all upset over quiet quitting, but illness costs employers billions in lost productivity every year, and hiring and training a skilled replacement might actually be more expensive than just paying for someone’s surgery one time. Especially with this new “7 rounds of interviews” trend, where you have to interview with the CEO before you can become a janitor. I don’t expect emotionally-stunted supervillains to care about any of us, but it’s in their best interest to keep us working, and at this point it seems like they’re just shooting themselves in the foot.
i recently graduated clemson university with my BS in marketing with a 3.4. a pretty good school (B+ on an F to S scale) but nothing super prestigious. i applied for a job at the apartment complex i live at as it was a good opportunity. i like the ppl there, decent pay, wouldnt breath down my neck and the travel to work would be closer than i could throw a ball its a job working as a marketing assistant. run the social media account, create content for it, create reports for corporate, plan events, etc. i didnt get the job. cool, i can accept that. im struggling with accepting who they put in the position though. you needed a bachelors degree for the position. fairly standard. heres the kicker they got a girl thats a 5th year senior, is online at a community college and her only transferable/comparable experience…
Had to file a complaint with labor and industries Dept just now (WA). My boss I posted about a week ago who was being extremely abusive in the workplace took all my tips and only sent me my hours worked. I've since quit. I have proof of what my wage is/ what I should expect to see in tips via email document from the old boss. I also have their handwritten note of my hours worked on my last check. I took a photo of the check and plan to cash it at their credit union because I don't want shit bouncing in my account if they're underwater (has happened previously to me). My question is, what else should I be doing? I haven't had a boss literally steal money from my check before, and I'm not sure what even will come of reporting to labor and Industries. Thanks in…
