My company’s call quality assurance team

I (41m) recently started a position with a new company after a lay off from a company I had been with for many years. I have worked in a call customer service/call center or office environment the majority of my career, and always had some form of quality team that would monitor our calls or work. My issue is the guidelines my new company’s quality assurance team follows. For one quality decides how many monitors any rep gets. For example rep A might get 3 quality monitors one month while another rep gets 12. Even though they both do the same exact job. Quality can also decide to go back to the previous month and pull calls for the current month at any time during the month, even though that rep has more than enough calls for the current month to pull from. My sup has also stated she believes…

“No call outs on Mother’s Day”…

I just tested positive for covid- twice. I called work and told them I will go to the doctor today and get an official test done (mine were home tests). They responded with “If you call out on Sunday, we are going to have a problem.” Not sure what tf I can do if I have Covid- I know the pandemic is over and my symptoms are mild but wouldn't that be a health code violation? I doubt it will go away by Sunday even though I am vaccinated- I expect it will get much worse over the next 24 hours. I will work if they tell me to- it will be on them. I need this job. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated dudes- Happy fuckin mother's day- goddamn you hallmark…

“Employee Retention Bonus” is 24 cents an hour.

How low do you think of your employees that $500/year will make a god damn difference? After taxes, they’ll take home around 15 cents an hour more. This very prominent Texas municipality hasn’t given substantial raises in years either.

My boss allowed my supervisor to sit in on my one-on-one annual review. It did not go well for me.

It was my first review at this company and several people told me it would be just between me and the boss, and even HR sent out an email that our meeting would be a “one-on-one.” Imagine my surprise when I’m about to close the door and my boss says, “Oh, Jane’s coming in, too.” Like, what??? Jane has tried to shut off my access from our boss by having me go to her for everything. I told my boss early on that I had problems with the way Jane talks to me and she told me to talk to Jane first. When I did, that lady said I take what she says personally and that “it’s just business.” So I started documenting all of the times she’s been awful towards me or micromanaging me and planned to use it to explain my side of my annual review (which Jane…

Tucker Carlson as a Red pill anti-capitalist

One of those rare moments Tucker brings up Race/Gender divisions being a perfect decoy to cover the tracks of the real problem, the class divide and the massive wealth inequality that we currently sit on. Towards the end of the show, Tucker seemed to ditch politics in favor of speaking for a working class man. I'm convinced that Murdoch and gang noticed it as well. But jokes on them, his return on Twitter gathered like 100 million views, more than most primetime shows put together can wish for. Hoping the working class have some kind of voice in Tucker against the proletariat.

Keep your peace

I'm sure almost all people in this sub have encountered an abusive boss at least once in their life. I had the misfortune of being employed by one of the most unhinged 26 year olds I've had in 10 years of work. In short, I worked for small family business and the kid who was my boss (not in the family) went on this unhinged rant, screaming at me for making mistakes that he refused to help me understand. He threatened to fire me if I make one more mistake so I told him I'll save him the trouble and left. Point is, it's easy to want to engage these abusive types but the best course of action is to just let them have their temper tantrum and calmly remove yourself. the owners were nice and understanding, but the office manager has some serious anger management issues, most likely do…
