Tell about a time when you were detailed oriented? (Tap tap tap typing my response) Tell how you keep track of deadlines (tap tap tap) Tell about a time you juggled multiple projects (tap tap) Tell what you do first with conflicting priorities? (Tap tap) Tell about a time you convinced a colleague to buy into a product or service? Finally I stated I was ending the interview bc these lists of questions are ridiculous. Interviewer replied (“these things are all important to hiring managers) and I told her reading off a list of questions in 2023 isnt how things are done. She sounded like a lifeless robot and couldn’t even fake sounding interesting. I then hung up. So draining.

I feel like I am fortunate enough to have a job that pays me enough to afford these ridiculous prices. That said, I truly cannot fathom how some people are even able to afford rent based on the average pay I see posted for even the most highly skilled jobs. Do people just have like 3 roommates? 3 jobs? Do people just not pay rent? Are they just saddled with mass amounts of debt? And somehow the economy hasn’t completely collapsed (yet). Like how does anyone have money to spend on anything at all? It’s absolutely fucking ridiculous and it makes me seriously sick to my stomach when I look at salaries for job postings vs. rent rates for apartment listings. Something needs to be done about the housing crisis fucking yesterday. Not soon, not before the next election cycle, FUCKING NOW.
We just had an impromptu meeting for all the people that got to keep their jobs. Around 70-100 employees just got fired due to outsourcing AI
They ask how works going sometimes, I've been stopping myself, but I feel the sentence ready to emerge at any moment. I've tried to indirectly tell them I'm in hard place financially paying for everything + food, but I think I just want to tell them how I feel in this hard place, cuz you know what I want them to feel fucking bad. They profit off of me, if I kill myself no more profit right?
Not sure what to do here
Currently working as a school aide in a very bad school with a toxic environment. Admins don’t support teachers and teachers do not care. Currently pursuing a bachelors in psychology. Should I quit and look for something related closer to my field? On top of that I am being paid below minimum wage. Really trying to figure what to do here as well as what to do to keep some money in my pockets as a student.
Help with references
Does anyone have suggestions on fake career experience and references? im not getting any callbacks and am getting desperate at this point. I need help.
Middle-aged guy in a flyover state who hears this crap far too often. As though young people or certain groups are the problem. If you want to combat this nonsense and I want to share some publicly available info. It isn't that people don't want to work. It is that older people are leaving the workforce or maybe don't want to work. There are more people employed, total number, than prior to the pandemic. (https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/employed-persons) The unemployment rate is lower than prior to the pandemic. (u-3 report, the normal unemployment) The number of people who want jobs and have them is greater than before the pandemic. (u-6 report – U-6 includes everyone not accounted for in the U-3 rate—discouraged, underemployed, and unemployed workers in the country. ) The Participation Rate (total number of people who could work and do work) from 20-54 is GREATER than pre-pandemic.(https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/LNS11300060) The participation rate of…
Yesterday my boss at my second job included this in a list of issues he had and I just can’t get over it. Instead of saying shit like this, why don’t you just come out and admit that you’re looking for something to blame us for and complain about? A person like this is too much of a micromanager to be able to delegate simple tasks to staff, and will probably never be satisfied with the way things are done unless he does them himself. There is no pleasing this person and so there is not much point in trying.
AI is coming for your future earnings. White-collar jobs aren’t safe. Diversify if u can. Good luck everybody!
