Hi guys, first time poster. Have a weird situation at work that I wanted advice on. I work at a popular food stop in a downtown location in a dense city. We have multiple locations but one in particular has been plagued by violent homeless people harassing staff and customers. I actually don’t work at this location after a homeless man tried to break in after hours while I was closing. I’ve also had several coworkers assaulted, luckily no one has been injured (yet). Homeless people have set up a camp of sorts right outside the door and they’ll walk in ask everyone in line for money, then ask us for free food. We had to close the exit (against advice of the fire Marshall) because they would steal food from the to go area daily. They’ll also dig through the customer garbage in front of us, throwing everything on…

Resume help
Hello, I was wondering if there is anyone here who would be willing to take my resume and basically rewrite it or just edit it for me. I looked into getting it done by indeed but it costs a whopping 200+ dollars. I'm currently getting a bit desperate to get out of my retail job but im finding it very hard to find a place in office admin/reception that will hire without experience (i have a college certificate but no experience.) and I dont think my resume is nearly good enough. If I have an actually good resume I can use that to fill in my indeed resume. I am willing to pay a little but I cant afford a whole lot. I just need to get out of retail. Its destroying my mental health, im there every day but only working part time hours, and can't afford to support…
Ai replacing so many employees and doing the grunt work. Only the Apex will survive in Job market, the ones with insane level expertise in their field. Income will be more like Extra Credit (a side effect of their work) Governments will implement some form of Basic Universal Income, maybe this will be some sort of tax deducted from the income of the working class. People will majorly invest in assets like real estate or stocks. (Deducting taxes from revenue generated by these) People with Economic expertise, please give your criticisms.
union songs?
My bosses are starting to clue in that a bunch of us are trying to unionize the workplace. I'm very difficult to fire and want some easy to memorize and catchy union/strike songs to sing and/or hum when they're in earshot.
When to Give Notice?
I’ve accepted a new role and cleared the background check, however the new job doesn’t start until June 26th. I’m a sales team manager in between assignments and my new assignment starts May 15th with a group of newly hired sales agents. Should I give notice now to prepare the best option for this new team? Selfishly, I’m hoping I’ll be able to start giving away some of these responsibilities as well but not sure if this much notice could negatively impact me?
My place of employment is offering an action packed week of appreciation. What should I be excited about the most?
I had my monthly one on one with my supervisor and she said that she wanted me to become a mentor then a supervisor because she thinks that I’ll be a great fit but I immediately rejected the idea lol.
She claims that she already tried to instruct me, and that I blew her off and ignored her. So for the past few months she’s been saying I’m doing fine but giving me brutal reviews behind my back to the boss. My boss won’t believe me when I say this to her. I can’t remember a single time she tried to give me instruction. She’s usually hanging out with her coworker buddies and sometimes refuses to talk to me. Idk please help.
I work as a tour guide and have been told its unprofessional to have my hands in my pockets. I use my hands when I speak, so this is really only when I'm standing/walking. It just feels much more natural. What is wrong with looking somewhat relaxed at work? I know my guests prefer a less formal experience, but I guess the higher ups want us to act like servants. Is this a thing elsewhere?
