Let me explain; My employers have been stealing money from my paychecks. It’s finally reached over $950 (now grand theft in California) and wage theft is illegal. They are aware of it and know that I know (multiple emails for over a year). I’ve contacted the labor board and a few lawyers who all say go to the labor board, as I work for a LLC with “gray area” operations(hard to sue). Labor board is 1-2year wait average. But then I read that: you can report your employer to the police as wage theft is a criminal offense in California. A new law passed in September 2021 allows prosecutors to charge employers with a misdemeanor or felony for intentionally committing theft of wages, benefits, tips, or other compensation. Do you think the police will even show up? Would they take me seriously? What evidence should I be ready to provide?…

Offered a promotion at work and the raise is about 10% ($2). But I feel like the position and the promotion is worth more than that. How do y’all tell your boss what you’re worth?
They contact you we saw you resume…blahj blah good candidate…send lastest version of resume blah….before we move forward to consider you for the role we need the last 4 digits of you SS? I am like why in the fk would you even need that shit? this is not even round 1 or 2 or 3…..
Wrongful Demotion in Ohio?
Hey there, Does anyone (a lawyer preferably) know anything about wrongful demotion in ohio? I was randomly demoted recently with no warning and a flimsy excuse. I gave notice that I am leaving in August. Is that not considered retaliation? Thanks
ill just let this speak for itself

I do not want to work
I’ve always felt like shit about working, and never really fit in before. I was bullied by managers and got treated unfairly by pretty much everyone. Now I’ve adapted but I still don’t want to work. I’m working at the moment and my job is ok but I still don’t want to work. I don’t want to rely on a job for money, it sucks that I have to. Team meetings are awkward and 121s are awkward…employers/managers telling you that you’re not working hard enough or have more expectations from you. Being screamed/shouted at by customers, I don’t fancy that. The strict schedule and spending the whole day at work isn’t appealing. I find it hard to speak up for myself at work and take on extra work loads sometimes. The job doesn’t care about staffs mental health and well-being, we’re all just numbers. People are at companies for 5+…
