Since we won our election in March, TCGplayer and eBay management have sought to obstruct our union. After the regional director of the National Labor Relations board rejected an appeal by TGCplayer to throw out our election, the company appealed again to the full NLRB in Washington, DC. This came on the heels of firing union organizer Iris St. Lucy on the first business day after the election. TCGplayer and eBay have continued their union busting in the workplace by denying workers their Weingarten Rights to have a union representative present in disciplinary meetings, unilaterally changing working conditions despite a legal requirement to keep terms and conditions status quo until bargaining, disciplining workers for minor infractions that were not previously enforced, and refusing to respond to our first information request to help us prepare for bargaining. Let me elaborate why. So I work for a large hardware retail corporation, and I was hired in early January. At the time, it was my second semester of my senior year of high school (I'm done now) and I'm in my after school theater program that was soon to go to state competition in the following month and had practice on Mondays & Wednesdays. I informed the interviewers at the time of the interview that I wouldn't be able to work one week of February because I'd be gone. I got the job during the interview because the interviewers liked me. I didn't know, however, what department I was going to get until the interview (I got part-time plumbing) and was informed that plumbing's “sister” department was electrical. Interviewer replied (“these things are all important to hiring managers) and I told her reading off a list of questions in 2023 isnt how things are done. I feel like I am fortunate enough to have a job that pays me enough to afford these ridiculous prices. That said, I truly cannot fathom how some people are even able to afford rent based on the average pay I see posted for even the most highly skilled jobs. Do people just have like 3 roommates? 3 jobs? Do people just not pay rent? Are they just saddled with mass amounts of debt? And somehow the economy hasn’t completely collapsed (yet). Like how does anyone have money to spend on anything at all? It’s absolutely fucking ridiculous and it makes me seriously sick to my stomach when I look at salaries for job postings vs. rent rates for apartment listings. Something needs to be done about the housing crisis fucking yesterday. Not soon, not before the next election cycle, FUCKING NOW.

They ask how works going sometimes, I've been stopping myself, but I feel the sentence ready to emerge at any moment. I've tried to indirectly tell them I'm in hard place financially paying for everything + food, but I think I just want to tell them how I feel in this hard place, cuz you know what I want them to feel fucking bad.
