An article that said there are 582,000 home less last year 3d printing house would cost around $4,000 and installing bathroom comes out to be $4,500 and total comes out to be around $8,500 per house. We also need to buy a 3d house printer a cheap one can be bought for around 200,000 (i guess this is a one time payment excluding maintenance costs) . i did not take into account : Land because it is variable with as low as 3,500$ per 5 acre (in Arizona). 3d printing houses might require some extra labor so idk how much is that. so what is stopping people from millionares/billionaires from profiting?

This manager is the only one who's generally a bitch. Just unpleasant and really full of herself, but this time seemed a bit too far imo. I've already told the upper management at my job that I sometimes get attacks and have to spend a while in there, I guess she wasn't informed. I get that it's work time that I wasn't using to actually work, but as I was leaving she said 'if you need a break just tell us'. Why the fuck would I ask for an official, clocked out break from work to go to the bathroom?? I can't predict how long this kind of thing takes, it usually isn't that bad. already was considering taking the summer off from this job because my parents are fine with me staying at the house and hanging out, might just actually do it. Note: I work in a pet…
Income disparity and cost of living
I have never been more frustrated in my life. I hope this is the appropriate place for this, but I need to get this out. When I moved into my apartment 2 years ago, my rent was $1107/mo. A new company took over in the middle of my lease with the old one, and I either had to sign a renewal or move, where I was subject to $287- yes, you read that right, $287 rental increase (I did the the math). I currently work full time in a restaurant while I’m looking for a full time job and I just got screwed on my paycheck. We are paid every 2 weeks on a paycheck instead of nightly, and I have requested both of my pay stubs immediately, because my earned wages and paid wages do not match up. I planned on keeping my restaurant job while I worked for…
I caught the new hired department manager at my work breaking company policy and I’m on notice for gossiping since I brought it up to a co worker and another manager. I work part time and asked one of the full timers if she thought it was worth bringing to the attention of other managers to which she agreed -and then I received a very angry phone call from the store manager saying I was in trouble for gossiping. The manager received no punishment. If I get fired for this is it considered wrongful termination.
I was having this discussion with a friend recently and thought I’d post it here because more people need to understand/consider this for their job. Raises are merit-based wage increases to reflect the increased value you bring to the company…but they almost never are. If you get a 3% “raise” when inflation has gone up 4% in that time. You didn’t get a raise, you’re only make 1% less rather than 4%. Nothing should be considered a raise until it exceeds what is a cost of living adjustment. There are way too many companies that cap raises at 5% a year, and you’ve got to be the very top performer to even get that. If your wage increase is, at best, keeping up with inflation, your company is telling you to be excited and grateful for them not effectively paying less…all because you worked extra hard and exceeded your goals.…
Hi, I’m a hotel work who is under a union. Today I got asked to clock out today at 22:40 instead of 23:00. I’m still leaning but I’m also autistic, and I tend to talk about weird things like automation, computers, and dream up ideas. It’s my personality but others see it as arrogance but I’m not trying to be full of myself. I need to learn but I tend to go off on tangents. I also need to sit down a lot not when the customer is checking in obviously but when they are not around. I got an injury at a old job site. Still waiting to head to the doctor to get a note from them to make it a accommodation. I’m just scared of losing my job, and I want people to accept me for who I am.
Dear All, thought I'd share my experiences which made me turn my back on the hotel and service industry. So right after high school (and before university) I thought I'd take a year off studying and work to get experience and earn some money. Had the glorious idea of applying for a job in one of the few 5 star hotels in my city. Interview started with three people interviewing me for 2 hours for a entry level service job. I was nervous as heck as I never had a proper job before. They grilled me for all of the hotel details such as room numbers, suite numbers, hotel layout, offered services, hotel history and much more. Luckily I prepared pretty well and was able to answer most of their questions well. When i was finally done they asked me how i thought it went and I said i was…
I recently got interviewed and they offered to pay me cash in hand for minimum wage. I insisted on a payroll but I’d like to know which option is better. I live in the UK.
