So PWC uses insider knowledge of future tax changes in a blatant conflict of interest. They save their wealthy clients millions in avoiding future tax. Oh but don't worry: they are proposing an internal review! They will let us know what their are findings are once they have investigated themselves.

I’m an assistant manager at a cinema, and recently my boss (the general manager) decided to completely cut one of our workers shifts because he told him he couldn’t work a shift he was rostered. The casual employee (we’ll call him Fred) informed our boss that’d he’d be unable to work on a specific day, however my boss (we’ll call him Craig) rostered him on anyway. He said since Fred was the 10th and last casual to NA that day, he couldn’t have the day off, as people that “have their priorities in order” get first serve. Fred told him he really could Not work the shift, and cited Fairwork, saying that any casual employee has the right to decline a shift. Well, my boss is furious, claiming Fred’s attitude is awful, and he’s now cut ALL of his shifts. He told me he isn’t giving Fred another shift EVER…

We would still get our work done, but we would laugh and yeah just get along. We tried to work seperately but since we are from the same department, theres not really a way to not work as a team? And although we try to stay apart from each other as good as we can, whenever we stand somewhere together my boss makes a comment about us and how we are not supposed to work together. Its so ridiculous. Has this happened to someone before? How would you react?
Employers act like teenagers
Sorry im so confused why employers, when faced with declining someone a position don't have the common curtesy to just say “Sorry we decided to not hire you” why am I being ghosted or left on read? I made a application, you though I was “worthy” we had a interview, and then you just refused to contact me? like I'm sorry its so much effort to put me in a stressful situation/financial crisis in a timely and punctual manor. Sorry just needed to rant/see if this was universal and what I could do next
What’s your personal brand at work?
Hey ungrateful, cynical work slackers. In the corporate world, much is made of your 'personal brand'. What's yours? Mine's, 'Personal errand running in work time integrator. '
Job offers
Have you ever been in a position where you have accepted a job but then you get other offers? Do you let companies or recruiters know you have received a job before they contact you?
