Reminder to document everything
Always write shit down, y'all. It came up for us today because my husband's coworker (the only other person in his region in the same role as him) was fired today. This person is negotiating a severance package using the records they kept. I've told my husband to document every additional task he takes on in their absence, because they don't plan on replacing this person (also, fuck that), because he needs to negotiate a pay increase. Document everything. Keep a fucking work journal, e-mailing your personal account from your work account with any important daily details, such as incidents, additional work you did, coworker layoffs, etc. Keep it in a folder kr give it a label so that it's easy to go through later. Bullied at work. HR may be my last hope.
I've been employed with my current employer for 7 1/2 years. I love my job, the pay is great compared to my area's cost of living, and my coworkers and I work well together and get along. Within weeks of being promoted, Don became more aggressive in his tone towards us, but more so towards me. Just a few highlights include: 1. Telling me I was…
I've got a bone to pick with the system, and I can't hold back any longer. Picture this: I was an efficient and dedicated office administrator, ensuring everything ran smoothly. But then, out of the blue, they decided to fire me. Can you believe it? They showed me the door and dismissed me from my role. It's a classic example of workplace injustice, and I've had enough! I had built up a wealth of knowledge and skills, but they didn't seem to care. Instead, they terminated my employment, treating me as if my expertise was worthless. It's infuriating! I was stripped of my position, leaving me without a job and a sense of purpose. To make matters worse, the person they brought in to replace me was utterly clueless. They had no experience or understanding of the responsibilities I had mastered over time. And what did they expect me to…
