My work is a waste of time
I’m on a night shift where I’ve been assigned to guard a fallen tree. To make sure “no one tries to drive over it.” Cones and barricades are already here. I’d rather be sleeping right now.
The Behind The Bastards Podcast did a 2 parter on Jack Welch the former CEO of General Electric. This man si gle handedly changed the business methodology from Welfare Capitalism to Fuck you Capitalism. I highly suggest you listen to the podcast.
I've only just started listing to the episodes, so I can't give you a synopsis yet, but it's on Jack Welch, who basically destroyed the middle class and made it possible for CEOs to earn 500x the average worker and stripped your working rights away. He also died in 2020, but I don't know where he's buried, which is a shame, because we need more public toilets. Also, excellent podcast.

so i was hired into a unionized job with a CBA they emailed me the contract but it doesn’t give me the option to sign it, i didn’t have a orientation i briefly met a HR lady & a safety guy for like a hour then started working, i wasn’t shown this contract or told to sign it? i’m confused i’m 18 and this is my first union job and it’s unsafe & dirty asf here it’s a food factory
