In my new job that I've been in less than a year. During the review my boss let it slip that he had never filled out the form he now had to, which was four pages for each “2” I received. I got three 2s. So I said “sorry, boss” with a mustered smile through Teams cam. His boss said to me “we will figure this one out.” They both meant well but her words seemed like she realized what he had said. I know he didn't mean it but damn, man. It hurt. I'm basically his worst employee. Anyway, I have a job that pays me. I have a job that pays. I have a job. I have and I am trying to not complain. I just needed somewhere to vent.

It would either lower fees with less profit motive or direct the market rate profit towards public resources or business loans the town needs for example. Just seems like every school has a sports team funded buy the local banks. And that’s what the company is WILLING to donate as a take expense to look good. But don’t hVe to give it next year if the community does something they don’t like. Elaborate.

So, I am currently the only one in my department which should have 3 people. I am a manager, so working late isn't an issue, but doing the work of 3 people is slowly killing me. While this has only been about 6 weeks, it's exhausting. My boss consistently says to let her know how she can help or let her know when I can't handle it….so today I let her know I need a break but not sure who to ask for help or what can be taken from my plate. The response I got???? She told me she works 60-70 hours a week for several years, and as a manager, I should be okay with having to do this a couple of months. I've been retired for years now and still wake up yelling heard and other shorthand. I take Ambien among other things and some nights I will sleepwalk into the bathroom to do prep in the tub. And I can't break this feeling that if I'm not far enough along with my prep I will get wrote up. Every last one of my working years was spent hitting deadlines and in my dream I have less than 10 minutes left to finish.

Let me first say that when I am into my job, I feel I am as hard a worker as there is. I can go a year without calling in, I'm a half hour early to work each and every single day. I get promotions (that pay…meh). But inevitably, I come to a point where I just can't take it anymore. Except I do, and I keep on. Maybe every three years or so I'll change one job for another mediocre at best retail job with garbage hours and low pay. Forget weekends, forget set schedule, forget even having two consecutive days off. Ever. I'm 47, pushing 48, and have no skills that will land me anywhere near anything lucrative.
