I had a scheduling issue that couldn't be avoided and it was a bit last minute. However, I did EVERYTHING in my power to work with this lady (supervisor in charge of scheduling) and try to fix the situation so I could continue seeing one of my clients. I go up to her yesterday to try to have a conversation about talking with the client to adapt their schedule so that we could continue working together, and this woman straight up attacks me in front of my boss and another colleague. I apologize as sincerely as I can and continue trying to steer the conversation towards coming up with a solution. Nah. This lady isn't having it and continues to be extremely aggressive with me and starts making claims about the situation that aren't true in front of ny boss (you only gave me a two day, notice, etc.). This…

Hard work but I’m trying…
Been working with a large machining company for a few months now and have been slowly but surely getting the older generation to actually look at the situation they are in. They are paid only a few dollars more than me even with 30+years experience each. They are tired and angry but old routines are keeping them from actually doing anything. The company took away full departments, most benefits they used to offer (family picnics, bowling leagues, Christmas parties, profit sharing, etc…). They complain daily about how things are terrible and how the company is going in the shithole. I asked why they are still putting up with these conditions. The answer: Well they might fire me if I don't do what they want. I finally got some to stop caring. One can live off of his retirement for the rest of his life if he leaves at any point…
Does dillards actually pay $17?
So I know this is irrelevant, but dillards doesn’t have any subreddits and I can’t really find any posts talking about dillards except really old ones from years ago. I recently saw a post from last year asking if they were jobs that pay more than target $15, someone said dillards pay $17. I decided to apply, and someone left me a voicemail for an interview from what I’ve heard it’s really stressful. I don’t mind because I’m going to work there till fall anyways so that’s only 4 months, and the pay would be worth it in a way. The thing is does dillards actually pay $17? I haven’t really seen anything to confirm it, I live in texas by the way.
Fired for talking to ex manager
Hope its okay to post this, just need reassurance.. Basically, manager got fired and they were vague on the why. Imo they rocked the boat so they got rid of him. We were told in a meeting that they were contacting employees and that if we talked to them we would be terminated. They ended up reaching out to me and offering to be a reference because I'm a good employee and management has been shitting on me. It's at will state so I know they can, but if this played out would I be entitled to unemployment? Don't care about losing this job tbh, thinking this person might be a good connection.
Possibly getting fired tomorrow.
Like the title says, I think I’m getting fired tomorrow. We recently had a client not renew their contract with us and that’s the contract I worked on, that client is done within the next few weeks. I’ve been with the company close to 10 years, and while I’ve made mistakes (everyone does) my performance has been good, I’m the “go to” in regards to this client. Why I think I’m being fired: 1:1 with my Supervisor was scheduled for Monday, then rescheduled to Tuesday. An hour before my meeting with him on Tuesday he tells me I have to be in the office for it, Ok that’s weird. He sends an updated invite with upper management on it as well. Now I’m sitting here freaking out about what’s going to happen tomorrow.
