After five long years of working for a company that continuously cuts labor force and refuses to give raises, I have finally decided to leave. It has been a tough journey, especially with the added pressure of working with faulty software and maintenance issues due to the company's decision to let go of crucial positions. Despite our struggles, the company has set record profits this year. However, it's clear that these profits were made at the expense of their hard-working employees who are expected to meet unrealistic targets with limited resources. But, it's time for a change. I am excited to announce that I have received a new job offer for about four times as much as my current salary. It's a relief to finally work for a company that values their employees and provides them with the necessary tools to succeed. To anyone else struggling in a similar situation,…

It was not a good movie. Calling it mediocre is being really nice. But the basic premise. That really blew my mind. There is this guy that is really good at his job that has to take an extra long extra dangerous mission so he can afford to pay for medical treatment for his daughter. Mind you, this is a space faring civilisation with the ability to put people into cryo sleep and wake them up routinely among other things. And he still has to pay for his daughter's treatment. It is just so USA. It just shows what the people who created the movie fear most. Now, if I, an European, was to imagine a negative thing that the character needed money for, it would be something like a gambling debt to russian mafia. But I would probably have a positive goal like retiring early to a house on…
I've been trying to find jobs in healthcare and all of them are paying between 13 to 16 dollars an hour depending on experience. After my experience at one of these jobs, I'm thinking of a career change. I'm tired of being paid nothing and expected to run myself into the ground and if not I get fired. I want my own shit, I want to have my own business where I don't have to listen to and answer to anyone but myself. Yeah, a career change might be the way.
Kudos for the man
You read that correctly. I showed up on time and ready for my shift and got in trouble. The reason “you should have told me yesterday! It’s your job to look at the next day and communicate with me. I would have had you come in later today.” Last I checked, and correct me if I’m wrong, it’s the managers job to schedule, keep track of said schedule, and so forth. This was just the final straw that broke the camels back. An exposing email is going out in a few weeks to the CEO and public once I secure another opportunity. Sorry, just had to vent.
I hate most trades workers
im gonna say it. Theyre so fucking annoying. They act like its cool to be exploited by a system. Oh and that labor union they all brag about being in? Yeah, wait until they find out they exist because its assumed they are all stupid because the only career they can get is physical labor. Now, I dont think all trades workers are dumb. Some are very smart people. My dad was a mechanic. Hes very smart. Theres just nothing cool about busting your ass and then getting in a lifted truck and going home all dirty and sweaty. As a woman, nothing is hot about that You know what is attractive? When a man comes home in his dress clothes, and is clean, and smells good. Its not about the money either. Has absolutely nothing to do with how much they make. Its the class. Its how they handle…
