Verse 1: The exploitation of employees, it's such a shame Bosses cutting corners just to boost their own gain Paying minimum wage, no benefits or respect Employees are expendable, just a line item to neglect Chorus: Exploitation of employees, it's a corporate game Profit margins over people, it's a real damn shame We gotta fight for workers' rights, it's time to stand up tall Together we can make a change, and demand fair treatment for all Verse 2: It's not just low wages, it's the unpaid overtime Expecting workers to go above and beyond, it's a crime Working long hours, without breaks or rest Ignoring basic needs, it's a management test Chorus: Exploitation of employees, it's a corporate game Profit margins over people, it's a real damn shame We gotta fight for workers' rights, it's time to stand up tall Together we can make a change, and demand fair treatment…
I Don’t Know Anymore.
Hello There! I'm 35. I have Asbergers and have worked for my company for 15 years now. I worked front end for most of that time. I started as a bagger, interchanged between that and register for awhile. Became FES near the end and was trained to do front end office work as well. Ended up drinking and getting in trouble for it as a result. I opted to be removed from that stress and got put into our “new” pick-up department. (Our location is older then balls, so we have a closet as our department.) Things were great to begin with. However, we are now being placed into the same category as our big brother peers and things have taken a dive. It's Superbowl weekend, as we all know, and it's been…difficult. When you walk into a wall of 100 orders with three pickers for your entire shift? It…
My supervisor is a massive hypocrite, multiple times now we've been slammed and she's just sat on her ass watching tiktoks and talking to someone on the phone, also in front of the cameras (for context, even holding your phone in front of them is against the rules). Now she does this multiple times, leaving me and my co workers whenever we're slammed. Whenever we're slow then she gets up and yells at us for checking a message or switching music; it's frustrating. She says she doesn't want to get yelled at because we're doing nothing. But she sits there's for hours and nothing happens? It's bullshit. We should have equal consequences, but that's asking too much right?
Currently love my job and what I do, but the work environment at my job is getting worse and I’m also getting underpaid for someone in my position. Not to mention the gas money I spend commuting everyday, around 80-90 mile round trip, I can barely afford the gas to get to work. We’ve also had mandatory schedule changes and pay changes with zero notice. Potentially have a job lined up where I’m not as excited about the work but starting out I can make the same money and potentially more, company car/gas card and I’d be able to be home alot more. Just defeating after investing so much time and energy into something I’m interested in but can’t even get enough of a raise to pay for gas. Hoping I’m making the right decision. Sorry for the rant
