I must be unlucky or something, but most jobs I’ve been in have had me involuntarily involved in malicious slut shaming. I don’t have anything remotely sexual now on my phone other than vaginal health. I moved most personal pictures into a usb. I’m a very shy but active person, and want my life separate from work. Ive never done sx work and sxt anymore. This stresses me out and I don’t know what to do???? I don’t get it. I try not to message people regularly and use encrypted messaging apps. I use a professional email. I’ve also deleted most of my social media background.

My manager is hellbent on not only making office life miserable but also actively shutting down any attempt people make to improve their satisfaction. I am particularly targeted by this. I have ADHD and my passion is sports, I have a very hard time sitting down and working for 8 hours a day, I become depressed and my work output has had periods of subpar performance. My manager knows this and alo knows that in the last year my perfirmance has increased greatly. Today at work I asked the people sitting near me if they would be distracted if I brought in a rebound net and occasionally threw a ball into it and caught it (this would occur a total of no more than 10-30 times a day, make no noise, and would have no chance of hitting anyone. It would also take place without me leaving my seat.) they…
They want to fire me?
Long story short, I work as security in a supermarket in Ukraine. There are three of us in security. They got me working only because the previous worker was drafted and they needed someone to replace him. I had worked here for one year already, and no one from the management had any problems with me. One week ago, the previous worker came back from war because he had some problems related to his health. When he came back, I saw him coming every day in the store and going into the manager's office, and some workers said that he wants to work again here. From when he came back, the managers acted rudely toward me, saying that I needed to get a haircut or they would fire me, or that I needed to change my style of clothing or they would also fire me (I needed to wear everything…
Retail managers be like
Company has a clock in system that will round your checked in time up to 8 minutes forwards or back. If you’re supposed to clock in at 815, but you clock in at 8:08 they round your clock in time to 8:15. If you’re supposed to clock out at 5:15 but you clock out at 5:08, it will round to 5:15 but you’ll get a warning. If you clock in late by 5:22 it will round your time back to 515 and youll also receive a warning. Whats the point of this system? Why not just keep track exactly time in and time out without rounding anything?
A bit of context: Left two week notice and was told to hand over work kit which consists of various trades tools. Handed everything back except for the work phone and scraper. Planning on bringing work phone and scraper back tomorrow but was just wondering if what he said is legal? Would appreciate any help. Thanks!
How bad can America get before change?
Like honestly this Reddit and a few others makes me feel so sad for my generation in America. When I hear about the workers rights and property market especially. Here in Norway my generation certainly isn’t happy with their lot but things like 30+ days PTO, around $22-25 per hour for unskilled jobs like McDonald’s , free healthcare and a relatively affordable housing market is taken for granted. It seems to me there must be a point where things ‘break’ in America. Surely things like having less than 10 days PTO a year will make a society angry and revolutionary. When and how will it break? I’m sending my love and strength across the Atlantic and I sincerely hope things improve out there. Keep fighting!
I work for a hospital in my area that has it own none emergency transport team we drive patients to care homes ,home and sometimes other hospitals. Some of my coworkers work 8 hr days and some of use work the 4 10hr days. My employer informed our department the other day that all employees in this department had to be on call once a week from 20:00 to 04:00and we are expected to responded to work with in 20 minutes during the time we are on call we are payed a quart of our hourly wages unless we get a call then it’s time and a half. I don’t think it’s right or safe for our patients for use to be up that long and driving them to where the hospital wants to send them. Thank you for reading just need to rant about it.
