Any office workers here are forced to take the discovery color personality test? It's so fucking stupid. On one hand, the management is talking about inclusive, equality and empathy at work but on the other hand, they divide people into 4 different colors. I feel so offended by this training. The fucking management have nothing better to do, of course they need to look good on their annual review to get bonus. We, as the low tier employees are forced to participate in these annoying shit. Who gives a fuck what color my coworkers belongs to honestly? Red, Blue Yellow or Green? I am color blind. After the training, it didn't change shit. Whoever came up with this 4 color crap is such a genius coz they make big money. The stupid management buys the idea and pays big bucks to get a on site “certified” trainer to do the…
Throwaway because I really would like to rant. I work in the HR (not in America), I'm younger the most of the people I'm working with like 5 years younger so there is a gap. So maybe that's why there is a significant difference in work ethic. The story is I work in recruitment, I endorse a candidate to them last MARCH 6, we waited for a week for a feedback regarding this whether they want to proceed or not but we didn't get any feedback. This went on for 3 weeks. 3 WEEKS. Last friday, we decided to simply just force the interview to the next person, let's call her A (the person in charge of the next interview) because she said she was open for today at morning, which she was OKAY WITH. It was scheduled for 10AM. 9:55 I noticed that there was no update with the…
Discussion of wages mess
A couple days ago, my manager sent this message, “Discussing your pay with other employees is unprofessional and grounds for termination. If you would like to have a discussion about your pay, I'd be happy to discuss that with you.” to a couple of my coworkers and I. I foolishly sent a response to literally every employee that said: “Hey, (Manager Name) sent a message earlier saying that wage discussion among employees is unprofessional and grounds for termination. Although in some situations it may be unprofessional to discuss wages with coworkers, it most certainly isn’t legal to fire you over it, or even discipline you. You can learn about the laws that make this true here: https://www.nlrb.gov/about-nlrb/rights-we-protect/your-rights/your-rights-to-discuss-wages” I was spoken to by a couple managers a few minutes later about how this was kind of a terrible idea, (I agree that my method of approach was definitely rash, but I…
AITA for ghosting my soon to be ex boss?
So basically, I’ve recently been offered a new higher paying/higher title job. In three days, I’m resigning from a position that I’ve been in for 2 years (mid tier leadership), and it will completely leave my current boss (VP) screwed. We are currently traveling out of state for a work trip (I work remotely, my company is headquartered out of state), and today I ignored all their calls and texts after I left the office (it was an invite to go out for drinks/food). Not trying to be an asshole, but I’m not exactly fond of them from a management standpoint. They fired my direct leader last summer without discussing with me (which was fine, didn’t really care for that person either), but I became expected to work the role of two people (manager/director). My VP passes every single thing off to me so they can skirt accountability on tasks,…
