I've come 10 minutes earlier and I've been waiting 26 minutes. It's been 16 minutes since the scheduled interview and I feel like walking out as it's unprofessional I'm sure if I was this late then they wouldn't interview me.

So teaching sucks, one thing I hate is how normalised unpaid overtime is. It is very common, to the point they spell it out during training; that part of being a teacher is taking work home! And yeah, the odd bit of marking and report writing… once in a while, sure. But it now seems that it's very much common practice to employ teachers for full time and think it's fine to be expecting us to take work home regurally, 5 plus hours a week. What are some other jobs where you peeps find this happening? I'm guessing this might be far more common than I think in other proffessions too.

My relative, after working for years finally managed to have a lot of free time. Gone are the 10+ hour days of work and commute. He should be happy right? He's depressed. He spent so much grinding at his job, trying to get to this point of free time that he has no hobbies to pursue, he doesn't know himself, he has basically existed for working and now doesn't have direction. All he does is eat crap food, drink, and watch Netflix. He used to be fit, surprisingly, but not anymore
Thank you, guys!
I just wanted to say, that this community motivated me to quit my job for a better offer. Thank you, keep spreading wise words!
I’m a 23 yo student in a temporary IT job until august, been here over a year, can’t wait to leave I’m sitting here everyday and have little motivation. I work with over 40s and it’s kinda sad the amount of stress they put themselves through for a company that could shut down tomorrow, bosses that don’t give af about them, all for what? Your barely over minimum pay which is being degraded anyways through inflation and the government printing money? I’m disinterested in office work and IT, use to be interested but not in this way. My supervisor is the same but worse and he seems to dislike me If I get to 45 and I’m practically reliant on a pay check and simping for my boss just shoot me Sitting there on eggshells 8 or 9 hours a day eating shit food and hoping you don’t make a…
So I’ve been applying to numerous postings ever since my company and I separated last month and have been applying to postings within my field and experience. Now for a few postings within a specific company that I was applying for, I got rejected on the sole basis that I did not live in the area where the posting indicated or was located. My question is: can they really do this and just reject my application(s) just based off that fact alone? Why wouldn’t they give me the option to ask me if I was willing to relocate or not? Or do they not want to waste time asking me and would rather have someone already in the area from the start?
Ive been working as a data analyst for nearly a year next week and I have a problem. My boss is upset with me over a portion of a twice-a-year report I didn’t do. Something like this happened with another infrequent report I had a few months ago. This is on top of another issue I had with my other boss who was micromanaging which was addressed and stopped around that same time. The problem is I didn’t know it was something I was supposed to do. Its a small company and I am the only person to make up any data role. The previous person in my position had left effective my start date. My training was from my direct boss and a coworker who does something else. So all of my training was on reports that are constantly made not the longer term ones. The problem I am…
