No pay rise but here’s a creme egg

We had an all staff meeting today at work and on the invite it said “free gift”. Now every dept is severely underpaid and the question of pay comes up on an almost daily basis. We’re also hemmoraging staff because of the pay and working conditions. We went down to the meeting to be greeted by the big boss, a person who makes my annual salary in a month handing out creme eggs to staff saying “happy easter, that’s it there’s no talk this time” I’ve heard stories of shit like this happening but I never really believed that directors/big bosses could be so petty. I dont know how to react tbh not sure wether to laugh or cry

Told my mom my job was mentally and physically killing me

Her response: Just keep applying to other jobs. You got bills to pay 🥹 How to get through the storm? Work is mentally and physically draining me. I was able to compromise and get 1 work from home day out the week. They say it’s basically like a mental health day. How is everyone staying afloat that hate they jobs? But can’t quit because you don’t have much in savings.

The only way to get Amazon to meet the demands of its hyper-exploited workforce across the country is to hit them where it hurts most: in the wallet. This means disrupting Amazon’s profit-making machine, and nowhere is this machine more vulnerable to work stoppage than at KCVG
