I work in retail, I know I know When it comes to lifting/loading… It happens all the time where customers say things like “it must be nice to be young!” Or to a partner “honey let’s let the young strong guy do it” as they just stand there. I’m not even strong lol I weigh 134 pounds, I guess because I’m not obese that means perfect health? I have sciatica and when it all of a sudden turns into a sharp pain, it’s like a debilitating shock. Had an MRI a while back and was basically told it’s not bad enough for surgery, which is good, so it’s just about pain management/exercises. Still though, days where it really bugs me are not fun. I’m not like a lot here who can find a better tech/computer job paying $15k more annually or what not. I don’t even have a career at…

I am in Canada and taking Family Medical Leave. I am doing it intermittently. Here, we don't have to take the weeks consecutively and it's pretty open as long as employer agrees. I just submitted the paperwork last week. As the situation with my father is still extremely complicated and unpredictable she agreed to let me take days as needed for now. My goal was to only need one day a week at this current point (at some point I'm sure it will just be I'm not working) but this week has presented challenges. My dad has mouth cancer that is literally eating his jaw. His entire chin is a gaping open wound. He is in immense pain but refusing so many services and hospice. Emotionally and mentally, I'm drowning. WHY DO I STILL FEEL GUILTY ABOUT WORK???

I have a family member who owns their own buisness and the shit they say to about their employees is EXACTLY the type of ridiculous screenshots you see in here from employees of their employers saying some ignorant ass, power tripping shit. This family member is apparently working alone cause ALL THEIR STAFF QUIT All their staff QUIT but it's obviously not them that's the problem. It's just all their employees are losers Apparently a whack of them quit because “they wanna go on EI and the jokes on them and they are idiots cause you don't get EI when you quit ” And the other was doing “personal things online” during work time and they don't “pay him to go online” Better buckle up for those long ass days cause no one wants to work for you PS I'm also almost certain the family member struggles to pay employees
