So over the last 5 years the company I work for has downsized the company by 50% but all of the internal space where there used to be productive activity now lies vacant. We also seem to have about twice as many employees as we need to do what we do. I cannot understand how this company remains in business. Looking for others thoughts.

I make $20/hour at my coordinator level position. $20 in my state is not much where the living wage is $21. I work from home a few days a week… should I be allowed to dog sit during those WFH days to make extra cash?

My boss is an asshole who doesn’t care about employees’ safety. Trees and wires were down all over the city. Everything was closed including vets, doctors offices, banks, the post office, restaurants, etc. Everything except my workplace. I can understand if it was something essential like a hospital, Walmart or a grocery store chain, but I work at a furniture store. Who the heck is going to want to buy furniture in a snowstorm! The other two furniture stores in town were closed. My boss told us if we didn’t show up we would be fired. I’d rather be fired than risk my life or damage my vehicle for minimum wage.

Boomer doesn't take into account door dash, being paid a wage that isn't worth the work in this current standard of living, door dash, no dental, and door dash. Yea in 1965 you could be a manager at Mcdonald's and still be able to buy a home, but be a manager at Mcdonald's in 2023 and you need two roommates to pay rent.

I need help coming up with a super petty email to send to the interviewer, we had scheduled to speak yesterday at 1pm, she sent me an email saying she was in a meeting and we rescheduled at 4pm yesterday. Absolutely nothing back from her, no email or phone call, even after I reached out again. I’ve been looking for a job for the last 3 months and keep getting ghosted so I’m ready to be petty.
