As the title say, my ex employer is lying to clients about my occupation. I found a new job a few months go, and i just found out that my old employer is telling my old clients that I'm no longer working in the same field. I understand not telling my old clients where I went, but to completely lie about my career in general is really upsetting to me. I've built up a relationship with many of my clients and I feel like they should know that I didn't leave the field, but I don't think there's anything I can do, other than continue to post on social media. Any advice on what I can do? Is this even legal?

So I just got a restaurant job, and they post the new schedule the day of the new week. On top of this, they schedule me for six days but instead of scheduling me a full 8 hours, they schedule me 7 hours so they can have me for 4 hours on the sixth day, meaning no overtime. Is this legal in Florida? What should I do? I feel like if I talk to management, I’ll be punished by having my hours cut or looked down upon.
I had a severe work injury (lost most use of my dominant hand) I have had 3 surgeries so far in 8 months. My hand still does not work. When I was in pre op getting the IV put in for my 2nd surgery, I was texted that they just closed on the sale of the company, my insurance was canceled, and I was now responsible for the $1,000/month rent that I as previously included in my employment. Meanwhile I moved half way across the state take this job because the owner of the company begged me to. I have no family or friends where I live now, but I can’t leave the area because my drs are really good. I gave 7 years of my life as well as my hand to a job that couldn’t even be bothered to call me to tell me they sold. Don’t be…
I think social media can be a good way to get the word out and organize themselves, but subreddits like this kind of kill me because there's never a push to get people to vote in the primary elections or organize their work spaces. One bad interview on Fox shouldn't have crippled this subreddit.
I really don't understand all this pressure to climb the corporate ladder. It's so taboo in corporate to be comfortable where you are and everyone keeps asking what you're going to do with your career. “Don't get too comfortable in your cushy position” Why can't I just keep doing what I've been doing for the last five years? Why try to move me up into something I've never done, and have some new guy do something he's never done. You end up with two noobs. “What are you gonna do if this company goes under?” I'm gonna find a new job, that's what. What's it matter to you. Christ.
My coworker has been working at this company for about 20 years. One day the boss asks her to take on a completely different role that she does not feel comfortable doing. She tells the boss that she would like to continue doing the work that she has been doing for the past 20 years instead of having them train a new person to fill her role. The boss refuses and says if she doesn’t want to take on this new role she has no other option but to leave – despite the fact that she has been wonderful at her job with no complaints from others. She agrees to leave. The boss says she has to train someone to fill her position before she leaves. She agrees to leave after two weeks of training. Now the boss is trying to force her to write a letter of resignation before…
