Paid to Spy on Management and HR Trends
I am currently on this webinar posing as upper management for Fortune 500, getting paid $50 to find out the horseshit they are selling employers on why we won't work for them dirt cheap anymore. If I glean anything more than employers are like assholes (everyone has them, and they are the same) I'll post it here. LOL A Closer Look: Indeed and Glassdoor's 2023 Trends Report
Don’t apply for QuikTrip
Maybe corporate is great idk. What I do know is going in for my interview I didn't expect much. In short if you want full time the REQUIRE a 30 min drive time. At 14.20 an hour far from the advertised 16-20$. Want to take time off? Pay the company for that day. Doesn't matter if you request it off. If it's not a scheduled day off they want you to pay QT for that day. No kidding. McDonald's and Walmart didn't pull that kind of nonsense. In my search of whatever low end jobs, this is the worst.

My bladder hemorrhaged violently due to a medication I was placed on for my mod-severe rheumatoid arthritis; it also took out my entire immune system (am currently on monthly IVIG infusions which will greatly help once I…

Unlimited PTO. Too good to be true?
I started working +/- 1 day/week for a large (multi-?) national company making a daily wage a little over a year ago. As far as I know I'm the only part-time employee doing my particular job, so I don't think they know exactly how to handle me. For the first few months I was seen as full-time employee and had the commiserate benefits. After a few months they took them away. I was fine with it since I get my health insure through my spouse. When the transition happened they paid out the few days of PTO I had accumulated. Prior to and since the transition I've take a few vacation days. However, my PTO keeps accruing without any decrease. Anyone have thoughts as to whether I will have to pay this back at some point? I don't plan on working for the company long-term, but I do minimal work…
