Why do I feel so guilty
Just left a toxic work situation where I was being flirted with by my supervisor like nearly every day and, and I just had it. I typed my resignation, put it in the department heads mailbox and HRs after hours box along with my badges. This job is high stress, and gives me constant anxiety in the first place. I don’t have anything lined up quite yet which makes me anxious, but I do have interviews almost every day. Does anyone else feel guilty for quitting? How do you stop?
I just wanted to post this here to check my own thoughts on this against what other likeminded(I think) people think. The story: I overheard a conversation at the office where one of my co-workers is asking for a raise and was denied because he typically only works 35 hours. Several of us make more than he does. This company that we work at is a small family owned business where the upper management are all related and do very well for themselves (new cars, houses, Disney vacations and hunting trips to Argentina on the regular). I think this company has a toxic way of hoarding the earnings for themselves instead of dispersing…

On the call was the typical you rah rah sales stuff to get people fired up. But then he tells us that if only want to work 40 hours a week that you should leave the company because we are planning on GROWING FAST! In the 2.5 years I was there, not one single person on my team got a cost of living raise. So I started asking around. The teammates in my location had NEVER gotten a cost of living raise. One person has been there 6.5 years. Not a single raise for ANYONE on…
